Take PSG out of the French league and you have the Conference!
    Terrible standard.
Although, like England, they do have a promising international side.

Traore and and Ekotto were born in France. Which actually strengthens your case. As was Taarabt.

Does anyone remember the midfielder called 'Alex Bonet'? Or something like that under Holloway? I think he was French.
Come to think of it, at that time we had another player defender who i thought was quite good called something like Ben zhar? (I need help on this one).

We have the most strength in depth at GK in this division, Smithies and Ingram have both demonstrated their quality.

Jack Robinson and Cole Kwapeka are solid enough at LB

Grant Hall can only benefit from his first full season at this level, yes he's made some mistakes but he's a determined type and he'll get even better IMO.

Luongo, Chery, El Khayati, Faurlin, Gladwin are all talented players who need someone to provide the grit to compliment their ability.

Conor Washington has what it takes to score 20+ in a season for us. He has to be the focal point next season, with Polter and a loan signing as backup.

I would look to move on Phillips, Onouha and perhaps Henry as well.

I think we need 6 new signings, a RB, 2 CB's, 1 CM, 1 Wide man, and 1 Striker. I'd get 1 CB and the Striker on loan deals, the rest permanent.

I agree with this and with Clive's Reading analysis. There's too much doom and gloom about our current manager and squad. We are moving in the right direction, but it's a slow process. I think SLF and JFH will get it right. Some sensible buys/loans in the summer and there's no reason we can't be on the fringes of the the play-offs next season.

Burnley haven't changed IMO and credit to them. I get to see some good talent on the box over here and the football is a lot better IMO so can't understand why Rangers don't look

Yes of course they do mate, as do other nations. I would've voted for N'Golo Kante as my player of the season with Mahrez a close second. Martial is also a great young French prospect. But not all good young players are French. England have some great youngsters coming through as do all the other usual nations.
The point you made though was in reference to getting promoted from the Championship. My post highlighted that we did it twice with very few French based players.
If anything we should go with an English / Irish core.

I can't think of any French players in the promotion chasing sides this year. Middlesbrough don't have one French player in their squad, neither do Burnley. The only exception is Brighton who have one, Anthony Knockaert.

I agree. I hadn't seen this until now but this is unacceptable. If this had been aimed at other persons of certain other countries it would be deemed a racist comment. Which it is in this instance.

I view Smithies and Ingram as run of the mill, not outstanding keepers. I can never see either of them playing in the Premier League either with us or anybody else.

Robinson and Kwapeka have a handful of Championship appearances between them. Both of em may be promising. Will they realise that promise? Who knows.

Grant Hall has been just ok. Another I think will never play in the Premier League.

Faurlin and Chery are both very good players but personally, I feel Ale is coming to the end of his QPR career as he doesn't seem to have the legs anymore. That's what I thought of him against Middlesborough and again against Reading.

To me, Luongo. El Khayati and Gladwin are mediocre at best.

Not sure where you get Washington's 20+ goals. He can't get one, never mind 20+.

Thought Washington took his goal well against Slovenia...he seems like a decent prospect to me. Not sure about 20+ for next season, but I could see him grabbing 10-15 following a decent pre season and assuming he is starting matches regularly.

Regarding JFH and his time with us so far, I personally think he is too defensive and is not necessarily a great fit for QPR. The football being played can be a little bit too negative and dare I say it, boring. Now would be a good time to test some fringe/youth players and to have a go at teams, so hopefully we will see a bit more of an attacking threat over the remaining fixtures. That said, he does seem to have made us difficult to beat, which for me is the solid base you need to build from in this league.

Remember folks if a player isn't outstanding in every single game right from the off he's clearly not good enough and we can boo him until he barely has the confidence to place one foot in front of the other.
