......West Brom are far ahead of us in the table. They have the likes of Sessegnon, Gardner, McClean and Evans, all in important roles. No competing with that.

Spurs chances are looking bleak. Leicester were ready for the fight.

Pulis took them on and treat them like professionals and got them to do the job as he saw fit and their performances tonight showed that.

Over the years our managerial appointments have turned out to be suspect in the end, but the great consensus was that the likes of Sam, Pulis, Hughes etc and their styles of football would not be accepted by our supporters. Narrow minded thinking in my opinion since the one thing we have been short on since promotion is stability and enough breathing space to develop a good team over time rather than buy one.It might be the old fashioned way but we are now just a regional team with a great history but that is in the past.

In his short time here Sam has proven that a firm base is there and nobody is complaining about his football. Patience is the only missing ingredient.

Pulis has always impressed me and he is key to WBA,s league position. He has utilised a lot of our ex players in his teams and most have repaid him, Cess and Gardiner were not bad players tbh and Mclean is OK but has a stinking attitude, as has Berahino, Pulis has dealt with them both to the benefit of his club. He is a safe pair of hands, with an outstanding premiership record. Having said that I thought they would be down with us in the basement and at one time it did look like we would catch them, but they went on a string of unexpected 1-0 wins which saw them rapidly move up the table, the key has been their defence which has looked strong all season, unlike ours which has just started to look the part.
