Just waiting for the first prices to be put up for the first at Chelmsford tomorrow and will go in for Hit List as I think it will take a lot of beating.
3.40 Southwell IMJIN RIVER. Too many seconds but won this race last year and think he will again today. Currently 9/4 so nice win bet.
One that interests me in the Windsor 6.00 DEFROCKED 33/1 Only started out in a Southwell maiden but the race is working out stunningly well and he will be more clued up than most of his rivals.
Morning, you types. Hope everyone tickety-boo. Oh I say what a Saturday afternoon for the forum faithful. Has there ever been another one like it either on here, or on one of its predecessors. Mr Henderson, the forum’s favourite trainer, its idol, won the big Grade 1 with ‘the Black Aeroplane’ and then in the next the mega rich big handicap up pops Sam Waley-Cohen, the forum’s favourite Corinthian, with arguably the ride of the term. I bet there wasn’t a dry eye on the forum and doubles were landed like never before. UN-FOR-GET-A-BELL.
Malaysian Boleh at 3.50 in the 14:30 at Chelmsford City Final at 5.50 in the 14:40 at Southwell Mo Henry at 6.50 in the 14:50 at Ayr Italian Beauty at 3.75 in the 15:30 at Chelmsford City Good luck! http://freebetcalc.com/odds-calculator/lucky-15-calculator?prefill=3.50,5.50,6.50,3.75
This time last year I was a virgin!!! My first bet? Marciano in the 1.30 at Southwell and I opened with a winner - I think I had Ekbalco99 to thank for that. I followed that with Douvan and Felix Yonger on the first day at Punchestown. How time flies. And am I any wiser for that 12 months of betting? Well, let's see. For today, 2 at Ayr for me. Exotic Guest, 2.50; likes it here and just a hint of nostalgia for me Remember Rocky, 5.25; C&D form is impressive, even though elsewhere not as good Good Luck.
Ayr 2:30 Patience A Plenty 8/1 Made its debut in a warm enough Curragh maiden when 8th of 18. This is a warm maiden by Ayr standards as we have a horse who ran 2nd on debut from the Quinn yard, a Dodds newcomer, and a Dream Ahead half brother to Belardo no less! However, experience counts and Adrian Keately does well here. 8/1 looked fair.
17:25 Ayr - The Wee Barra (Many runners at Ayr today will be on first run of the season and could be risky bets. Small punt on this one who has a chance , and has had a run. 5/1 generally available at this moment). (Note for Sir Barney: Yes I know how you feel, I was all choked-up when Paul Nicholls received his champion trainer award.... ).
Been given Clonearl in the bumper at Tramore 12s Ew from mate in work.I'm not backing this one myself as the yard are 1/20 in bumpers and Willie has the odds on fav-Just thought id share it anyhow. One I will be backing is Louis Leroy in the 5.10 at Nass.Trainer had a winner at Gowran ydat and this lad is a c&d winner.Backed it 3/1 and reckon it will go off alot shorter come race time.Big field though so dangers everywhere!
Great shout Bluesky. Onlly popped on half an hour ago to see if anyone fancied anything strongly to invest my Skybet freebie on! That's just set me up for an hour or two of fun! Cheers!
Cheers lads - it was a great price I thought. The favourite had little chance and should never have been sent of taht short as was up in class and carrying 14lb more than last time out when winning a class 6, this was made up of a 7lb weight rise but also the removal of a 7lb claimer, was also moving back to Chelmsford from Kempton.
