    True true...

    The ingratitude is astounding.

Look I can see the point that winger has ****ed it with his policies.

    But....

2 fa cups in a row and they were still at this? Who do they think is coming in?

I quite fancy them to end up in 6th or 7th next year if it occurs.

If they get a new manager and then spend 2 or 3 years out of the top 4 A87s posts will be amazing <laugh>

Look. They have shed loads of dosh but a very mixed squad. Take ozil out (and he's not been good since january) and sanchez out and frankly they ain't top 4.

It's all about who goes in. Spurs have an issue. How do they keep their players together... wages will tell there. But there's city Utd chelsea spurs before we even talk of lfc or the Leicester heads or the west ham dreamers

There is definitely a case of be careful what you wish for. Replacing Wenger could go either way for them and I do not think its as simple as a lot of fans think where he can go out and just sign anybody he wants but is refusing to do so due to him being extremely stubborn.

I don't ever see them winning the league again under Wenger. I think it's got to the point where things have gone stale, saying that, getting them in and around top 4 spending very little is very good.

Its a tricky one, to stand a chance at winning the league they probably need to replace him, but you then risk not getting right person and doing a united and dropping for 2/3 years while a whole new system and way of doing things is established.

Like some have said, it may take a couple of years of struggle to get back to the top.

To be honest I'm with them arsenal clowns. Wenger is the definition of steady eddy and he will get you top 4. I don't think he will ever get them back to the promised land as he just doesnt have the mental strength tactical nous and he doesnt want to outspend his opponents. There is also far more opponents that are title challengers compared to his glory days and everyone has good fitness programmes and scouting networks, things that he gave him the advantage back in the day to make up for his weaknesses.

If they ever want to win the league or cl they have to get rid of wenger

You think they can outspend their opponents? When they have been able to spend big they have on the likes of Ozil & Sanchez but to make those signings they've had to make sacrifices in other areas of the pitch, I think. I doubt they really want Welbeck/Giroud as their only striking options but to get those big name signings they can't afford players in other areas, is how I look at the situation. I can't think of any sensible reason why Wenger wouldn't want to spend, so I don't believe people who are saying that they have money and are choosing not to spend it for no reason.

I honestly do not think they've made many sacrifices.

I think they've masses of cash on hand compared to lfc or spurs and honestly could spend 100mil on players before turning to banks for any finance.

I honestly think wenger is a bit mad.

    Cech good signing.
    Bellarin good good player.
    Koscielny half decent player
But where's the rest... top cb, the dcm demanded for years

Where's his Adam's or Campbell, his Vieira or petit?

Arsenal have failed to build properly.

Sanchez ozil and carzorla are excellent second line players but giroud is one paced.

If they had better at cm than they have had they'd have won this league

Don't agree. I think Wenger just loves to find young cheap players and nurture them.

They had to reign it in during the stadium being built but it's been said a lot that the cash reserve sitting in the bank are huge. They have a 60k seat stadium and charge the highest season ticket and match day ticket in the league, they make **** loads.

None of them were super expensive signings though, that's my point.

They've got Bellerin on the cheap from Barca (IIRC) and Koscielny was a relatively low profile signing from the French league. Even Cech was a reserve keeper when you look at it in the cold light of day.

I think maybe if Cazorla had stayed fit they would've got a lot closer to winning the league, but its no good having a team that falls apart due to the injury of one player.

I just don't see the logic in people thinking Wenger COULD sign Vidal, Pogba etc. but chooses to stick with Coquelin & Ramsey.

Well... now in fairness.... those who are not the only CMs in Europe let alone the planet.

Wenter turned up in 1997 with ideas of who he'd sign and built 90% of his success on those. Petit Vieira Henry after anelka

He had after all seaman Adams Dixon winterburn and the like.

He has been for years indulging an insistence he can make them and find them not buy them.

There's huge gaps in his squad.. huge... and he's not filled them and sorry but thier accounts show the cash on hand ready to buy anyone else needed.

They've no excuse imo. It does not have to be pogba.

Yeah Hhhmmmmmmm.... That's why he's 4th not 1st. Like I said obsessed with stealing kids from Barca and "development"

He gets one and by the time he does 3 or 4 have left. He has failed for 10 years to really deliver and that's why the ingrates are hammering his door down.

Their issue is who is next in and that squad imo will end up 6th not kick on.

I'm not saying it has to be Pogba, but you're saying he just doesn't like spending money, even though the evidence points to the fact he's spent big on Ozil & Sanchez when the cash has been available. Easy enough to say there is cash in the bank, but it doesn't mean the board are willing to spend it.

I 5hink we need to recognise that once upon a time wenger did build a teamonn that was invincible

    Lehman replaced seaman
    Cole replaced winterburn
    Toure replaced known
    Campbell replaced Adams
Henry replaced anelka who replaced wright

He brought in Pires to replace overmars who he also brought in.

But we have to see also see that Dennis Bergkamp who was one of the best no 10s ever in the prem was finishing up.

Gilberto not the same as petit.

Really he's built before but since players like Nasri kleb and the like stabbed him in back I think he's changed.

I refuse to believe he can't sign anyone he wants... I just think he is convinced he can build an entire team out of youths he poached

They have not had the hardness they used to have in early naughties and I just feel the keowns etc of the squad really gave that hardness and it's not come from wenger.. or he's lost it.

Utd V arsenal was spicey back then.. now arsenal are pussies

    Alli has won young poty.

I genuinely thought it would be kane but I am glad a breakout player has won it as I feel that's what award should mean.

Well apparantly the arsenal fans keep saying the agms report they have 200m in the bank in cold hard cash.

I just have a feeling that wenger believes in his youth players and hes very loyal to his players.

It's been 4/5 years since they were in their austerity period and he did a fantastic job there. I just think its taken its toll and hes just not good enough to challenge anymore. At least not at arsenal with this team that he has shaped.
