Is it time to change the doping punishment?

He was advised to leave it a day probably. Not saying he took performance drugs but he was a party boy back then.

People get a bit precious over things like this tbh, when in reality it's probably quite common practice.

ok what are our thoughts on players taking other drugs that can add to performance drugs then ?

if its party stuff - coke/dope/laughing gas/etc then is it ok ?

if its diet pills is that ok ?

drugs that add to performance are banned for a reason, a list is published every year, and the consequences are spelt out if caught cheating.

also procedures that add to performance are also banned for a reason - that includes blood transfers and the like.

look what Lance Armstrong did and got away with as he beat the testers. if he hadn't admitted to it then no-one would have known for sure.

 

The fat burning pills are on that performance enhancing list. And they must be there for a reason. Ofcourse as long as they don't turn you into superman, they're ok

I'm not bothered about coke, dope, laughing gas etc. They get banned but then why not cigarettes and alcohol?? If it doesn't affect your performance in a positive way, I couldn't care less tbh.

That's the key point.

People saying that the law/rule should change AFTER someone getting caught are purely trying to grab a couple of points (probably hoping they'll get top 4 and still be in the EL semi-final (in this case )

They should probably have more severe punishment, but that has to come in at the beginning of the season not towards the end, when their team mates probably don't even know!
