Back to Victoria Wood for a moment, I'm surprised how many newspapers and media outlets are referring to her 'secret cancer battle'. The word you're looking for isn't 'secret', it's 'private'.

She chose to conduct her battle against the illness in private, and should not have anyone thinking that things were being kept from them. That's not the case at all.

Victoria Wood handled her private life very separately from her public persona, with only rare glimpses behind the scenes. In this, she was one of the most 'normal' of celebrities you could ever hope to know. If only more celebrities would understand that we're not interested in (and don't have a right to know) every single detail of their off-stage lives.

Not as yet. She's more than happy to have me as a slave house husband at the moment. When she comes home from work the house is clean, the washing is all done and she has a michelin style dinner waiting for her.

There's your mistake. Wrong Michelin. Give her a steak that tastes like the tyre from an old Cortina, and you'll soon be getting your tackle out...

This time a QPR fan of over 60 years, my Uncle John Kennedy passed away this afternoon.

He came to London as a 16 year old and lived in North London and supported Arsenal. He soon met his wife to be. She lived in Shepherds Bush and used to go to watch QPR in the Third tier. She brought him to Loftus Road and at first he didn't like it, third division rubbish he used to say to her. She stuck with it and eventually he got hooked and went week in week out for over 40 years until he retired 10 years ago and moved out of London to the North East. This man is the reason I support this club. As a kid, I used to watch the matches on the TV and I was glued to the tele to see if I could spot my uncle Johnny in the crowd. I knew exactly where he stood in the Loft. After I moved to London in the 80's, I stood in the same spot with him week in week out.

He has been to the Crown & Sceptre a few times and he came to Hennessys before the play off final so a few of you guys met him. Sad day. RIP Uncle Johnny.
