No TTF engaged today but, as Saturday is the final day of the competition here are the TTF horses currently engaged to run on Saturday: RED HAMMER VAUTOUR (FR) DODGING BULLETS SAPHIR DU RHEU (FR) UN DE SCEAUX (FR) THE DRUIDS NEPHEW (IRE) SUB LIEUTENANT (IRE) THE YOUNG MASTER SOUTHFIELD THEATRE (IRE) OSCAR ROCK (IRE) VANITEUX (FR) THE NEW ONE (IRE)
A speculative cheeky double at Doncaster where maybe the bookies could be scampering for cover after the 14.45 and it would be remarkable to complete the 24/1 double in the 15.55
Stargazer looks very well handicapped in the last at sanders-can't see him out of the top three so a nice Ew shot at 8s
There's a lot to like about today, isn't there? Sandown Von Blucher, 1.20, for starters. Doncaster The Fran-meister, the Norton-izer, he's On Fire! 4/4 at the mo, so his 2 over at Donny are my top picks Colour My World, 1.40 Cancan Katy, 2.45 Perth Mardale, 2.00 Monbeg River, 2.30 Good luck
This is a favourite race of Stoutes, although he doesn't always win it obviously (Conduit was 3rd in 2008). Last year he ran Stravagante and Dartmouth. Dartmouth went on to win 3 races at nice prices and the tragic Stravagante looked a great prospect before being killed. So wherever Stargazer finishes he's likely to be one to follow. Some cracking fillies in the 2 fillies maidens and this is also a race that throws up good types. As Gosden is in such good form I wouldn't bet against him taking both divisions.
No doubt that the majority here will not have much interest in today's Sandown under-card as the NH races have Saturday to themselves with the mixed card long consigned to history. There look to be plenty of good chances for Ryan Moore, especially those coming from Sir Michael Stoute. There is a family connection to the two that interest me: My Derby ante post bet starts his season in the Classic Trial (2:20): Midday's Galileo colt Midterm. He is odds-on, so hopefully he wins easily like the betting implies. In the first division of the fillies' maiden (4:05), Midday's sister Atone makes her debut. Hopefully she will turn out to be one to follow, although hardly a betting proposition at 3/1.
I'll take a chance with this Ryan Moore treble at Sandown. 1.20 Sandown Chief Whip. Entered in Irish 2,000 Guineas 2.20 Sandown Midterm. Entered in Dante, Derby and Irish Derby 5.05 Sandown Stargazer
Zabeel Princess at 5.50 in the 14:45 at Doncaster Gabrial at 11.00 in the 14:55 at Sandown Uhlan Bute at 6.00 in the 15:40 at Perth Rainy City at 2.90 in the 16:30 at Chepstow Eyeshine at 4.35 in the 16:35 at Sandown That's a Canadian. Good luck! http://freebetcalc.com/odds-calculator/canadian-calculator?prefill=5.50,11.00,6.00,2.90,4.35
1.20 CZABO 10/1 Should relish a stiff finish based on the way he saw out his maiden and is off a handy weight. 2.20 HIGH GROUNDS 4/1 Very impressive debut for an AW run and entered in Derby. Good vibes from Charles Hills and Midterm might need this more. 4.05 ADALENE 14/1 Nicely bred daughter of Makfi and entered up in the Oaks. Will need to be fairly smart in debut but Simcock is pretty shrewd when entering up his fillies.
Been told Ocean Glandore has an Ew chance in 6.10 at the Beg.Horse hasnt run since November and the trainer is an absolute rogue so could be anything but took 14s there.
Interesting runner for Jim Best in the next at Plumpton - Jamhoori won readily over 13 furlongs on the Polytrack at Lingfield 3 weeks ago for Jeremy Gask before moving to Best. Used to be with Clive Brittain before a stint in the desert.
