Sorry that position has been taken - there's an opening for USSR Female weight lifting -checking for steroids in the urine tester
Comm., but that comment really was in extremely bad taste, and I am very disappointed that you could even think about printing it Humour is what we're about, but that was just wrong
Sorry you feel that way. I don't regret the comment one bit. It was only a laugh and nothing malicious. Shall I send you some ladders. Must give you vertigo being sat on that very high horse.
You are on a high horse, mate. Sort it out. I've discussed chatting openly about this with 83 as a laugh and he said he would just laugh at it, if he can't look back and laugh at it now then what do you think he should do, harbour all the sadness he was feeling and let it eat him up? My darkest hours are now comical to me, sat on the edge of my girlfriend's bed crying because I thought a paracetamol would finish me off. We laugh about it now, it's a coping mechanism. If anybody on this board is gonna laugh at bad taste stuff it's him, he posts jokes about hitting women ffs!
Well this fun thread has took a turn for the worse. It was a right laugh until someone decided to get upset on someone's behalf about a nothing comment.
It's how most threads end now! Your dancing one has gone the same way, unfortunately. People will blame the same culprits every time and not see the real reasons.
I really can't see what Gordon's problem is. Unless he's just spoiling for a fight. 83 would have loved this thread including ALL it's content.
lads, but this was now't to do with any moral high ground . . . . I haven't even got a soap box never mind a horse It was just my opinion, expressed after initially ignoring it, but feeling the need to say something after the subject mentioned his sadness/feelings about it (he obviously still reads from time to time) It is a touchy subject, and I know that it's just your sense of humour, Comm., but I just feel that as the anniversary of a very significant event, that most of us are aware of, approaches, it was the wrong thing to say
Maybe it was about the timing, being so close to the anniversary, and the situation's still very delicate, but yes
I'm sure that it wasn't, too, Tel, and if 'the event' had happened a few years ago, and the situation hadn't still been 'delicate' it would have been completely different I'm sorry to have derailed what has been a brilliant thread, Comm. (it really has), but I, obviously, felt the need to say what I did
