Mosses doing the presser with Brucey this morning. please log in to view this image Aluko's a doubt (calf strain). Dawson and Powell still out, though Dawson is expect resume training next week. Livermore and Diame are back in contention. Bruce - "It would be the mother of all twists if we get automatic (promotion)." Having a bit of a swipe again... "We've got to win the games, there's no doubt about that, but it's a time when we can look at things. "We've done it with Jake Livermore and Mo Diame, given them some time off to rest. "Whatever team I pick at the moment appears to be criticised. That shows the strength of the squad we've got. "I'll pick a team that I will win the match tomorrow, as I always do."
sad reflection of what they are doing to the club at the minute, that on the eve of a home game against Leeds and it feels as tho hardly anybody is barely interested in it.
Big game the players are in the middle of all this they need our support whether singing, demonstrating or what ever else get behind the team, I think there might be a decent feisty atmosphere for this one.
Providing the put the effort in they will get support whatever the score, but if they walk around shrugging, with their heads down, fall over all the time and generally not give a toss, like they have in a few games previously, they will be berated, and rightly so.
Bruce - "If you're unhappy about the new scheme, then by all means let them know, but do it the right way, continue to get behind the team"
I'm not so sure about a feisty atmosphere. I've never known a City v Leeds game create such little interest. Kinell, we're in the play offs, the pressures off for the players so we should see what our "best team on paper" can really do. But the buzz just isn't there. Our club has cancer. ALLAMS OUT !
Some of our best atmospheres came when we were giving AA it over the name change! So it begins again eh?
just caught a bit of the press conference on the sky sports news, and all I heard was Bruce talking about how Derby will be made up to have made the play offs and we are all doom and gloom, which im not saying is right or wrong of us but either way it will probably be our downfall against them ( should that be the case)
**** it, come on lads it's TWS, set of gaylord clown shoe, arsecunts. MINCING ON TOGETHER! HA! Come on City
I just don't believe any of the players 'don't give a toss'. If they didn't care, they could have thrown the towel in after conceding an early goal on Tuesday night in a half full stadium when they were pretty much certain to get in the playoffs anyway. It's obvious they care -doesn't mean they will always play well.
This^ If they achieve promotion, they get whopping bonus money and most of them will get a huge pay rise. To suggest they don't care is ridiculous. The doommongs among us who say all footballers care about is money, should understand this.
I agree with it depending on what 'the right way' is. The name change protests were always peaceful and whilst loud, never involved booing or anything that the players might have misinterpreted as criticism aimed at them. Yet there were still arguments of that nature on here at the time. I'm not sure what the appropriate level of protest is deemed to be in that respect.
Same team as Reading for me. Then make some changes on tuesday for the Brentford game imo. Jake Livermore needed a rest. Like Dawson and Mo they will be needed for far bigger games that wont be that long in coming. City to win regardless of what team Steve Bruce picks. imo.
