    Victoria Wood passed away after short battle with cancer.

    Its one celebrity a week at the minute. Sad news.

    Never found her remotely funny. But she did well and became a household name, so fair play to her.

    No just a thought as it's fall out over northern hemisphere - just wondering if there is also a higher incidence of cancer deaths in general poulation - but this should be on a new OFF TOPIC thread

    The incidence of cancer would have been up through the roof after the event. It isn't.

    There was a guy on Radio4 last week said its due to the number of baby boomers, all born around the time tv and radio taking off at the same time, and all starting to die off around now makes perfect sense. And this trend will continue until it plateaus off.

    Could be just that - mine was a throw away thought only that chances of cancer increased due to the Russian C - back on thread topic - RIP Victoria Wood a talented unique commedienne
