Now Prince ffs. The "Partyman" who loved "Diamonds and Pearls" who drove a "Little Red Corvette" to the "Batdance". As "Doves Cry" the next shower may well be one of "Purple Rain". R.I.P. Prince.
Actually, this one has left me proper gutted. Saw him live 6 times, bought pretty much all his stuff, even when some of that stuff was utterly self indulgent ****e. I grew up in the 80s and his music was a big part of that time. RIP to the Purple Poppinjay of Pop.
Prince, RIP. More shocking news. Fantastic artist. Went to see him once at Earls Court, when we got there it had been cancelled. It was the week after I saw David Bowie at Wembley Stadium. Never got the chance again.
I saw Prince 4 times and was always in awe of the man… let alone what he did to my girlfriend of the time… (metaphorically of course).. theres one hell of a party going on upstairs I think… R.I.P
Apparently he has an unreleased music vault with enough never before heard material to release albums for years and years. RIP Prince
I saw him at Sheffield Arena in 1993 and he was superb, playing different versions of his songs so tightly that they sounded like they should always have been that way. What an artist.
