Arsenal and Man City still have to play each other. Could make things very interesting last game of the season lol
Fixtures remaining: United vs Leicester Norwich vs United West Ham vs United United vs Bournemouth League Table as it is: Leicester 34 73 Spuds 34 68 City 34 61 Arsenal 33 60 United 34 59 West Ham 34 56 Livpl 33 54
Really tough. A long shot. It will have to mean the destruction of Leicester s dreams and relegate Norwich. Having said that, Spurs in my mind are the much better team and deserve to be champions. Sunderland probably should escape instead.
Spurs would definitely be a more deserving champion if they end up winning it. With Leicester, it would be the greatest story ever told. But even if they win it, they would still end up in mid table next season. Almost sure of that. But I see Spurs settling into the top 4 the next few years if they keep their young players.
Not necessarily - Leicester's other three games are very winnable, against three clubs in midtable meltdowns and with pretty much nothing to play for in the league. In contrast, Spurs still have to play Saints, who are pushing for Europe, and Newcastle who are fighting for survival. I think even if Vardy gets another game added to his suspension Leicester should still have enough to get over the line, and Spurs could definitely drop a couple of points in the run in. I also reckon if we win all four of our remaining games we have a great chance of top four. City will almost certainly batter Arsenal, whose players really don't seem to care any more. Then all we would need would be Arsenal to slip up against Sunderland or Norwich (very likely) or City to get distracted enough by Real to drop points against Stoke or Saints (fairly likely). We could even end up in 3rd given how inconsistent the other two have been. Of course, in anticipation of the usual "hur hur, your deluded" nonsense from the usual suspects, this does all depend on us winning our last four games. Which won't happen - we will drop points against one or both of Leicester and West Ham and probably finish 5th, a point or two off 4th. The wider City and Arsenal open the door, the more LVG will keep walking stubbornly into the jamb and claiming he is still going in the right direction.
Are you talking to yourself? Still, you can't rule Liverpool out. All you have to do is win your game in hand, at Anfield, against a struggling Chelsea side with nothing to play for. No way that could possibly go wrong... please log in to view this image
If Arsenal don't win tonight we've got a chance. If they do then I think they'll win all bar against City. City will win all theirs and then even if we win ours we still finish 5th. Depends on tonight I reckon.
Still can't see Arsenal beating both Norwich and Sunderland. Those are the classic Arsenal banana skins against teams fighting for their lives who simply want it more. But given every game is a classic LVG banana skin, we are still more likely to finish 5th (or even 6th) than 4th.
We'd have to win all 4 and I don't see us doing that. Too many stupid points dropped earlier in the season because of **** and cowardly managerial decisions.
Yeah, agree on Sunderland as it's away and up north and against an Allardyce side so it's got no win all over it for the Arse. They'll likely beat Norwich at home though.
I'm sure this has already been said but if Leicester win they will be just as deserving as Spurs. That you don't see them as worthy doesn't mean they don't deserve it.
