I don't know this person, but I stumbled across it in tweet land. Well written, some good comments, and over 600 signatures in the 13 hours it has been online. Can't do any harm, https://www.change.org/p/assem-alla...twitter&utm_campaign=share_twitter_responsive
No, I'm not sure about that He sounds like a young teenager going with friends but I haven't looked at the maths
He's now getting his seat for £1 for the season? The West Stand upper doesn't cost any more to open? Except for extra stewards!
Huh? It doesn't matter anyway Sign it or don't sign it I simply pointed out to people... I'm not the kids accountant
He's obviously a 13-18 year old sat behind the goal in the South Stand and his ticket has increased from £95 to £324, which is around a 350% increase.
This thread could be used as a case study in how this (and other) forum operates. Someone posts something then a couple of posts in or so someone pulls up on a little detail. The thread then spirals off in another direction - in this case maths. (OLM's maths is correct BTW- well he rounded up by 50p). The other one about what unlikely set of circumstances were needed to get promotion was even more of a classic with people apparently purposefully misinterpreting each other and changing argument direction mid-discussion. The petition will not doubt make no impact but if in a small way I can make a young fan, who has been priced out of the game, feel supported then I'm glad I spent 30s doing it.
Spot on No one on here thinks it will change things, but as you say I was happy to spend 30 seconds supporting a young kid who has decided to at least try and do something, and actually if it does get a load of signatures it would be something else for the media to pick up as a different angle which may go a small way to help in the long run Fair play to him...he is exactly the type of supporter we should be encouraging, not forcing out!
Getting on for 800 signatures now by the way (I can't be arsed to work out exactly what % of 800 it is!!!)
Signed as a gesture of support, but it's unlikely to make much difference. This scheme does remind of the Poll Tax - ie grossly unfair.
