In truth as Jiffy says we have the basis of a very good young squad who should piss the league with a manager who knows his onions.

I'm not panicking but some gers fans are deluded if they think the SF is and accurate guide to anything, Pud's assessment is also correct, Rangers for all their supposed domination never looked like they could worry our defence.

Noo remember Peter, any player who was in opposition to Ronnie, get them tae **** oot the club!

Just get the ****ing league won, then we can extract our heads from our sphincters and plan the way forward.

And the way forward isn't Neil Lennon.

If Lawwell is picking the next manager very little will change

He's there running the club they way he wants so the next manager will be another lackey being given the same quality players and being told to spout the party line when the fans are upset

Lennon only ever showed his baws when he quit as manager...now he wants back!!!!!!

A lawwell lackey means there will be no more Tierneys coming through as the fans have shown their impatience demanding more than just a league title...who would risk their wrath when they're already doing the job with a hand behind their back

    Owen Coyle approacheth...

I actually think the board will make a decent decision this time... I can only hope.

They cannot let Celtic miss out on Champions League again.

I think I'm probably being more hopeful than anything ...

We need a manager that players will respect and young players will look to for advice.

It won't be an old head but it can't be a rookie or someone out of a job for a few years.

I'd love to be shocked but, as MTD says, I'm not confident the board share our ambitions.

Neil? Are you ****ing kidding me? (seriously, Neil?) wouldn't mind going back to Strachan, but don't think he'd be interested. My pick of the names mentioned would be Brendan Rodgers, his Swansea team were great to watch, and he came very close to landing Liverpool 's first title in decades.

Rodgers would be my choice too. When he gets teams playing in his style, they're brilliant. He's also lauded by many as one of the best coaches around, both as a team and man-to-man (non gay).

He's also tactically good, training his teams to move between different formations in games.

Moyes will be an utterly boring appointment - he achieved **** all at Everton, United, and RS. How the **** is he going to rescue Celtic's slump?

Only thing Lennon will bring is all the mouth breathers back to the rivalry. **** that.

    Agree with all that, mate

I'm sorry Neil but, you have quite clearly lost the plot if you are volunteering for this for a second time.

Remember also though, any new guy's best players will still be sold, usually at first opportunity(I get that), so is immediately hamstrung and unable to build properly. There has to be a balance found between player profit and success on the pitch, or this malaise won't end.

Go and get a proper manager, a guy that is used to being in charge of all the fitba stuff, give him the tools to do the job, then allow him to build a team we want to actually go and watch. How hard can that be for a club our size, in a country this size ffs!

Show a wee bit of ambition.

    Rodgers <rofl>

As if he'd come to Scotland and pit his wits against the ****e that is Partick Thistle, Dundee and ****eCo.

We'll get Roy Keane or Neil Lennon. They fit the bill perfectly: they're taigs.
