I remember The Who coming and doing their usual smash up of gear at the end, saw many of the big name groups at The Spa around that time, happy days.
In 1964 I started going to City and what happened over the next two years to City England plus Yorkshire dominating cricket I took for granted expecting it continue like that forever. How wrong i was.
Crowd was around 800 when we played Blackburn rovers in a Tuesday night league cup match.... maybe late 80's early 90'stages.. Way way before you probably even thought of supporting the tigers.
27th august 1991..... can't find details on exactly crowd but if I recall it was around 800 ish... long time ago but I was there earning my stripes..
Just joined the new membership scheme. Paid £324 per annum compared to £531 for this season. I expected to have to move or face an increase because the South Stand is the family area. Not all losers under the scheme but feel desperately sorry for others, who like myself have supported the club for over 5 decades and are faced with moving from seats that they have had since the stadium opened or paying a large increase. Just lucky that I chose a seat that replicated my position on Bunkers.
In the same position Wawnetiger, maybe we have stood in the same queue at the fish and chip van one time or other, if you use it.
So why weren't you there last season? Or did you get a cheap deal at the Blackburn game as well? W. ANCHOR.
What a c0ckj0ckey you are.. let's have a best name calling game now shall we. Grow up or act your age sonny. Didn't get a cheap deal I don't think. I techically worked for the club at that time. I have said twice already why I wasn't a pass holder THIS season... Not to be pedantic and risk more name calling, I was there LAST season just not this. Read back through the posts if you are that interested.... don't be lazy.
Thats because your a selfish **** Most fans who are renewing at least care about people who are priced out Unlike you .
This is one of the issues that mean the scheme could fail before it starts. If every current pass holder in the new £27 family area decides to stay put, along with all current pass holders in the £21 zones then there won't be enough space for all the families & WS Uppers who have been told they'll get first dibs at moving into these areas.
Can't believe the jealousy and bad feeling just because some get a better deal than others.... Such a shame. When it comes down to it it's just tough titty.... either pay up and stay where you are, shut up and move to where the seats are cheaper if you can't afford the price rise or can't afford to take your tribes with you or even better if you feel that strongly about it then just don't go.... Simple as that... Or maybe even organise a protest group and have a March through the park..
