I'm not arguing that one or two (including you possibly?) mentioned him. I'm saying there seems to be a lot of people banging this drum in light of hindsight. True. Nobody called those. Even Pearson had the two main men on bench so their rise is meteoric. I just feel Rogers hummed and avoided question when asked after being sacked so I think he prob said too tall too Athletic.

He went for half of lallana who Rogers bought instead. And I did ad nauseum say he was the guy. The point on alli is not he was going to be next gerrard and going to euros. The point was he was a high rated young english player heavily linked to lfc for buttons and Rogers et Al decided that despite newkie and spurs bidding they could sit back and wait and see.
