For some time I have thought they treat season ticket holders as a commodity, not a customer. They want to create these commodities in a style of their choice, they will put a value on them and even trade them in and out of the business to achieve their overall goals. I certainly haven't seen much at all to convince me otherwise.
Come on Fez, how can you say that when they put on 200 free hot dogs on Friday! Laughable and a complete waste of time in my view!
The hot dog thing does get you wondering WHY? Do they actually have board meetings and come up with these ideas?
James Mooney has a Matchday Experience budget, or similar, I suspect this comes from that. It's the same small pot of money used to provide the free scarves and t-shirts at the end of last season when Ehab had spent the ASI money on away fans at the KC.
He should spend some of it on reopening the beer kiosk on the East Stand concourse which has been shut all season.
There is a group of us that currently sit in W5. 2 adults, 2 kids (12 yo), 1 Senior. The lack of concessions takes the price for the kid this year from ~£80 to >£600. I will not move from a seat I've had since the stadium opened, even the boys have had their seats for 6 years. It's not just the price of tickets the club will be losing: Per match 6 pints 3 pies 2 hotdogs 2 soft drinks 2 hot drinks Per season: 4 x junior kits training wear etc.
14, don't you think its as if we are living in a different universe. They are obviously on a different planet.
I went to my first game when I was 9 in 1986 vs. Birmingham at our former much loved home of Boothferry Park. Got my first pass in 1998 when I stopped working weekends. Had a pass ever since. I have been through all 4 divisions, helped buy Linton Brown through the put a Tiger in Your Team and was part of the lowest ever competitive game attendance at Boothferry Park. After my wife and kids CITY, (not Tigers Mr Allam) have been such a massive part of my life. Sadly when I am evicted from the West Stand Upper, out of sheer principle I will be bailing out! I can't quite believe what our owners are doing to our club! I really hope nobody renews. We need to stand tall and fight this or what will they do next!!!!
Actually, like virtually everybody else, I think it is appalling and grossly unfair, but that is not what was being asked. I was just pointing out that my price will go down. Everybody has a personal choice to make if they are going to renew or shove it. That's something I shall have to decide.
I'm one of those to be evicted from WU7. Really difficult one this as I'll miss it not renew on principle so I'll pick my matches to attend as a visitor next season whether we're in PL or Championship. Just hoping that if/when the Allams sell, the new owners will see the overall stupidity of the scheme and negative response so will revert back to a more sensible arrangement - in which case I'd love to return (preferably in my old seat).
My four year old grandson got his first season ticket this season, sadly this scheme means he won't be getting one for next season. We (His Dad & myself) won't renew either. Great shame because people like us, Dads & Grandads supply new young fans for the future. I can't start to explain my anger at the total unfairness of this scheme.
Supported City since 1960! I sit in east stand my seat will cost me an extra £206 next season. This scheme will save me money though as I will start supporting my local team (Forest) who do respect their elder fans and have a consession, plus I will save £40 per game in travel costs. I'll think about coming back when the Allams have left.
This thread on the poll & the other thread on the scheme make really depressing reading. A whole new generation of young people are missing out on supporting their local team because of short sighted owners. I can't believe that the media aren't picking up on this & making more of it, the more posts you read on here the more serious it becomes. It needs more publicity.
When they first released the members package! Sky sports were running it along the yellow tab saying that an adult could watch us for £11. It's amazing how numbers can be changed to suit a story!
