By the 7th May, Norwich will have 2 games left before them they could lose to Arsenal away and Man u home, we could get 7 points from Arsenal home, Stoke away and Chelsea at home.
    ---------------------p------w -----d------l----- f------ a-----p-------g-d
    Sunderland----36---- 9-------10-----17-----------------37------16
    Norwich---------36---- 8---------7-----21----------------31------27
So 2 matches each and all but goal difference keeps us up !, could that happen ? then what will the mags do.

Games on paper have the quality of an IOU.It is still any two from three so winning/points gathering is essential.

All I'd say in terms of predictions is that in a broad sense we've been getting better and better since Sam took over. I don't think you can say the same for our rivals. **** knows what will happen though.

I reckon 3 wins from our 5 games will be enough!!

That is if Norwich lose their next 2 (every chance) - and meaning the CRAAS would need to win 4 of their 5, which I do not think will happen.

    Though - who knows!!!

If we can avoid losing at home to Arsenal next Sunday we will probably be out of the bottom three. The only thing that can prevent that is Newcastle getting four or more points out of Man. City (Tuesday) and Liverpool (next w.e.) which seems pretty unlikely. It's still going to be awkward though - Stoke, Chelsea and Everton aren't going to give us any gifts for sure. Hopefully, the 3-0 win yesterday will give the lads a lift and we can get that point next Sunday.

The Bar Codes win against Swansea has put them right back in contention for survival. They have possible wins against Palace at home and Villa Away which will make them safe. We have a couple of draws I believe which will put us above Norwich but 2 points behind the Bar Codes. We have to hope that they will slip up in one of those games or that we can repeat yesterday's form and snatch a win from somewhere.

How ironic would it be if the Mags get relegated by losing at Villa like 2009 all over again.

If the Toon stay up, which is incredibly unlikely (bookies mostly have you lot favourites now) they will never let you forget yesterday's result at Carrow Road.

I like your optimism but think you need to share some of that funny back mate. 7 points is a big ask, 3 or 4 a bit more realistic.

As with all the relegation candidates, Villa have been playing footy like the ball has some horrible contagious disease but now that the pressure is off they might actually start to play a bit and could easily cause an upset.

Well, that would be nice. The thing is that they NEED 2 wins and if they don't get them then we need 2 draws. Norwich could still surprise but their morale is down and I honestly cannot see them getting another point. My best scenario is for the Bar Codes to go down with the Canaries and I believe this will be the case.

I honestly think we will get 5 points for the remaining games and when I worked it all out I had all 3 teams on the same points at the finish that is why the 6 goal swing yesterday could be vital as it could come down to goal difference

Could just be, welder. Black was saying last night that their big job for the rest of the season is to win the fans back. There's no other pressure for them now. So winning at Villa Park might not be the easy peasy job it has been so far.

Norwich are terrible at the minute and might get say 5 points at best I cannot see them winning another game. It might be one of 100 permutations though, the mags should beat Palace and Villa, but Man c and Spurs at home ! plus Liverpool away I don't think so. Us and norwich are both away on the final day, but they play Everton, very tricky. It would be great if we stopped up on goal difference I still say 36 points is the target or maybe 35 now. What we can see is it is a bloody good job Norwich are not up there with Palace now, and that there is 3 teams worse than us.

It turned my head - a lot. I honestly thought we were down. If we;d lost yesterday, we'd have been 7 points adrift of Norwich and well f**ked. Now, we're one point behind with an extra game, we have another clean sheet, and our GD is +3 better. As Bexinio says (above) it could come down to GD and, as it stands, we're +7 on Norwich and +8 on Newcastle (with Aguero coming up for a little word with them on Tuesday!). It's changed everything mate, absolutely everything.

I noticed the Bookmakers still have Palace in the mix up best odds 100/1 but as low as 20/1

Not so much turned my head, but more of a thinking, "**** it, i just dont know anymore".

    A little warble here.

I never wanted SA, you will not find one post stating otherwise. I dont think he"s the bees knees. I actually dont think he"s that good. He error prone imo. But yesterday when he was baying for blood, i actually thought, "maybe he is ok, and will make mistakes, but by ****, he really does give a damn.

Ok partly as his reputation is on the line, but his reaction when that knacker sent PVA hurtling in the opening minutes, he would of took on Tyson. Thats passion.
