We won .....YEEEEEEEES. 3 points towards the playoffs.[/QUOTE] Poor vocal support again. Makes you think other places deserve a top flight team more. Bruce OUT.
Said yesterday, Meyler looks like he's playing not to get injured (so he can go to the Euros). He's had a rest but played today as thought he hadn't missed a minute of the season. Bruce wasn't at his best. Made a mistake in the lead up to the equaliser. Livermore's tank looks empty - sat pretty deep. Clucas didn't play well but nobody deserves being cheered off. I feel when he plays, it limits Robertson being able to go forward. Clucas either needs to run ahead, or tuck in. Instead, he stands out wide marked meaning Robertson can't go much further. Ball tends to be passed to Clucas who then can't do anything else but pass back to the centre back or central midfielder. We need to remember he's taken a step up in terms of leagues/quality of opposition and he hasn't done bad in that respect. He should be better next season. I like Robertson. An exciting attacking prospect and the crowd lifts when he drives forward. But I can't help but see bids coming in for him. Hope we hold on. Could have helped avoid the equaliser though - he's the defender who can see the runner (it's behind Davies). Elmo gets a lot of flack. He didn't do much wrong today. Sure, he's not producing performances like he was last season but he wasn't playing poorly either. Confidence? Interest? Not sure what it is. Poor Odubajo. What has the kid got to do to not get subbed? Diomande and Hernandez looked good together at times. Need to get the ball into their feet more. These 3 points may kick start the run into the play-offs.
That was an undeserved winning goal in a stadium that was embarrassingly half empty. A terrible 'team' performance and the two stand out players are two that came off the bench and between themselves played about a total of 25 minutes. Snodgrass and Akpom. I hope this win changes our approach to games as this was a shocking performance, the win will no doubt mask over much of what was dire beyond words.
A lot of people (including myself, and people around us) booed the Dave instead of Elmo decision, as it was just farcical. Do agree with the Clucas comments though, cheering him coming off is just a waste of time - even though he was absolutely shocking tonight.
Just arrived home from the game, may have already been mentioned, but did I hear it correct on Humberside when SB, said he had lost confidence in the player's .
They were collectively poor, no single player can be held responsible. It ****ing irritates me that 'fans' call him 'Clueless'. No better than Charon and his personal vendetta against Alex Bruce and Meyler (Clearly he was turned down by one or both players when he got refused an autograph or a 'selfie') such is his teenage angst.
Thoroughly agree that Clucas wasn't the only shocking player tonight (Elmo, Robertson wasn't at his best, Bruce) - unfortunately I think "Clueless" will probably stick, we football fans enjoy having something to stick onto don't we? There's always "someone" to blame when something goes wrong - if it's not the manager, then it'll be someone else. Remember 3/4 years ago when we weren't playing well, Robbie Brady was in the firing line with City fans, and he ended up being one of our better players in the last 10 years - once Clucas gets back to form, people will forget the bad games.
Elmo was **** again today . As always, tries to make Odders look poor by not running for passes, and hitting passes short so that Odders again looks slow. He lets his team mates down, seems to play at two thirds commitment and transmits 'pissed off and I want everyone to know' to all and sundry. He is not pulling his weight, and seems to be doing so to spite the manager and his team mates. No wonder he got spotballed for some verbal stick from the E stand in the first half.
He was bloody awful - and let's be honest, doesn't want to be here. This one's a bit controversial, but bloody Josh Tymon would be better in the team than him at the moment!
You'll always get personal vendettas unfortunately, and if we're honest it probably happens at every club. When I was a W4 regular there was this ignorant ****wit across the aisle from me shouting abuse at Ashbee every game, no matter how well he had or had not played. I understand getting annoyed at players who look like they don't give a ****, but I will never ever understand ironic or sarcastic cheers or abuse towards players of the team you allegedly support.
I won't get into a long boring debate regarding Clucas again - but for £1.3m or whatever he cost, he's been probably our most effective signing of late. Look at his goal returns and assists he has chipped in with this season. Unfortunately City is dumbed down by a lot of fans that have an IQ equivalent to their shoe size.
I reckon Moses was feeling the after effects of that shocking 1st half tackle that the ref did nothing about
Don't think he said that. He talked about some players being short on confidence and that he is trying to find something that will spark our season again
If we were top of the league winning every game like Burnley, the fans would be fine. You know full well why we are pissed off, get off your high horse and let people reflect on what was a very poor performance without this bullshit attitude that anybody with a non pro-city view is not a fan.
