I want my club to win cups not finish 5th in the fecking league!! Also what do we get for wining it? Oh yeah cl football but you carry right on and hope we do well in the league and get no injuries for the sake of a few league places. Unbelievable.
Calm down You don't build confidence and maintain match sharpness by hiding your players and throwing away league games Man City are desperate to do well in Europe and if they follow your plan of throwing the league for it then 4th is easily ours anyway
Get your point astro same as mitos, but I'm worried how fragile our players have been striker wise. which is why I would rather benteke starts. Never know might give him a kick up the are. If not puts him in shop window.
Ffs he's even more useless than I realized lol. Def injury do we know. Or is it head not right type thing or if he plays his value decreases?
yup.. its just no journo has been bothered to ask klopp about him and klopp certainly isn;t bothered saying he'll be back so.... well it could be 1st may i dunno
Yeah Benteke's season is done. I think we're okay for now. We've got Sturridge, Origi and Firmino. Klopp plays one at a time usually, until late in the game. I'd prefer to use all three with Firmino in the 10 role (Coutinho dropping deeper) but that's unlikely unless we get another Dortmund game. IMHO it's still Sturridge's spot. He's been good in the past few games. Not the best but he's coming back from extended time out and it's understandable that he's not gonna get up to Klopp levels of fitness. You can tell he's the only striker that would do something like his little flick for Milner to cross for Dejan's goal. Origi is developing well but he's not got the skills to do things quite like that (he may try on occasion but 9/10 I'd prefer Sturridge to be doing those things). Sturridge and Coutinho also bring out the best of each other - and if there is a second striker even better. Origi, must say I wasn't as optimistic that he'd be our saviour as some of you were, and I'm still cautiously optimistic, but he's really proving himself. As long as he keeps on learning, he seems down to earth and dedicated. He'll get plenty of playing time and will develop well. We've had an injury stricken year, which is both bad (cause of... the injuries) and good - it's usually cyclical and not a constant thing unless you're a club like Arsenal. Next season hopefully will be better and our selection problems won't be as pronounced.
Sturridge looked fit and healthy today, menacing in some respects. Keep him fit until the end of the season, hope that Hodgson doesn't break him and then get a pre-season behind him. Things are looking up for us at the moment.
He's fairly fit now. Klopp has shown how a real football man handles stuff... took the guy out of team and worked him like a real coach not sending of to us for holiday... then played him just enough to get fitter. He still looks a bit mentally adrift. He needs to have no fear of a good kick so he puts a foot in but that's I suppose natural but he needs to add it. Should have had hat-trick imo. Missed two sitters but got good header and hit bar with thumper... could've been 5....
Yeah he should be well back by then. he's been outdoor training for a good few weeks now so I'd expect that to be done and dusted for preseason day 1.
If we sell him before the tribunal is set, does it count towards the calculations? Everything else seems to
**** knows. its rather cheeky on his former club though that they can't deal with this in even a reasonably timely fashion. If it happened to a struggling club it could really hurt them.
