Do not feel the need to renew my overpriced season tickets in the west lower. Its just knowing that the money would go to pay Katrien's wages that changes my mind every time I reminisce about how long I have supported the club and should still be supporting my team. The meire thought of contributing to failed management turns my stomach and hardens my resolve.
Typically slippery blurb in the S/T brochure- "If you want to cheer on Charlton at full volume then the renowned Covered End is the place to be and you can secure your place in the North Lower for just £175. ............................our...fans sing at the top of their voices led by the famous Valley drummer............etc. Everybody knows that it's the Upper North where the drummer and the noisy singing are, so does someone (I wonder who?) think they can fool everybody all of the time? When someone lies, you know they're lying, and they know you know but they still lie, it's one of the most annoying things. Could it be that they want to close Upper North? I don't know but I think we should be told.
Fans shouldn't worry about losing their favourite seat by not renewing - there will be no queue to take them. This isn't the Premier League any more, we are playing Rochdale next season! I bought 3 Sts for family purposes this season, I don't give a flying f*ck about losing the seats, the Belgian bitch is not getting my money up front again.
anyone have any clue what the official renewal count is? i'm of the mind i'll take the free tickets i get from work. i'd happily pay for a ST if i believed in the owner. but i dont. i think he's a c*nt.
4 days until the Early Bird deadline. And the CEO will just be getting back from her hols in time to decide a) How much to put the prices up or b) How long to extend the deadline by, and what spin will the club come out with. Should be amusing.
Nope - not happening from this side. My season ticket money is going towards the holiday fund this year.
They are still seeking donations at every opportunity, but fail to mention how much has been spent - especially the % of received donations. They list the items purchased (1 megaphone, sigh) but not cost. Something makes me uneasy about it all. Wonder who keeps the megaphone too..
I will be putting it towards putting a woman through medical school, next Saturday when I'm back from my holiday.
i'd love to know what the figures are at the moment. cannot be over a 1000 renewed. saying that, my next door neighbour is a big CARD fan. says he will renew his 4 later, after he see's what happens after the deadline.
I've seen more people say they've renewed in the last 48 hours than the last month put together. Seems talk was cheap with a lot of people.
According to the OS the price of all S/T's will go up by £25 after the deadline, which is a bit of a surprise. Usually there is a second deadline to allow people to keep their own seats, so this comes across as a threat to their customers. No doubt playing hardball will influence some of those who are obeying CARD's instruction to DELAY their purchase, but I imagine that after the deadline, S/T sales will more or less dry up. The only money they will get from me will be the booking fee (which they have craftily raised to £2) for away games next season.
Ditto I had a look at the ITTV forum the other day, there was a long list of contributors who said they were renewing.
Charlton Life are thinking about 3000 have renewed, but unfortunately there is not a comparison figure to past seasons. Either way, if we only get 7000 renewing I reckon that will be a good effort in to Duchatelet and squirrel face.
I've been trying to renew this evening but can't work out the online renewal system. Ironically they tell you to look at a section called 'Your Reservations'... Obviously I have loads of reservations, but they don't seem to be acknowledging my actual season tickets!
