why do you treat hull fc as hull? are they the biggest club in the city? are they the cities image? grinds my gears when people complain that city are referred to as hull.. we are hull and are incredibly more known than hull fc. we ARE hull
We're City, we're mental, we're off our f***ing heads, we're City, we're City, we're City and thats the way we like it.... CTID.
Johnno, ignore the pedants on here who insist that if you say "Hull", you are only ever meaning the ****ing egg chasers. It's stupid. It's anal. It's just a load of bollocks. But, they'll always do it, best bet is just ignore the ****s. Generally our away fans do sound and sing better. Might be because it's a pain in the arse going away, so it's the diehards, although I always see a good mix of young and oldens, so I think its because we're more tightly packed in, the singers all end up together at the top usually, and the home fans are more diluted (in some cases) in the way they're spread about, similar to us at the KC. Please don't be put off posting by the nobbers.
It's the most obvious sign of a Premier League fan. Most of us will have grown up with people at school who were football fans but not City fans and who called City 'Hull'. Until very recently, no one supporting the team said it. It's just an irritating thing that represents the way our fanbase is going. Proper City fans being pushed out, the odd 'Hull' fan being attracted when we're in the PL. Also the same types who say "He's put a lot of money in so he can do what he wants." or "Would you rather be in League 8 and called Hull City or Hull Tigers in the Premier League?". What a jolly big surprise it was to find that Happy is all for it. Let me guess, we're all stuck in the past, right? And calling City 'Hull' is the big shakeup that football needs? We're challenging the status quo, right on!
The lad made one post, looking at his username it appears that he could be 14. The "old faithful" response by City Man (or whichever account he's using right now) was, joking or not, the response of a ****.
Even by your standards, that's a ****ty rant. Way to encourage new posters. Way to encourage new fans. Remind me again, you're the Deputy ****ing Chairman of the Supporters Trust? And a mod on here? Yeah, it's deffo everyone elses fault the trust is floundering and we're losing fans allegedly. Out of interest, why didn't you go for CST? Using the word Hull seems to wind you up. You're an embarrassment on many levels. Respond with your usual bollocks, and be proud you've done this on a new posters thread.
In answer to the OP, yes it was good support that day. Only thing better was the local speciality pies at the ground, and the ability to buy beer with contactless cards from the kiosks. Cracking pub Camden town later that night, I do like away games in the smoke. Fulham should stay up now, with the team they have on paper should be up at the top end.
It's ironic that certain people whinge because rugby is bigger than football in the city, yet when the football gets the right to the crown they get pissed off for taking it.
Not having a go at the lad for making the thread but for me we are Hull City, I think those happy with 'Hull' by itself or combined with some sort of Americanism are the ones that are content for the owners to strip away our identity and tradition for no proven reason.
