By the way incase it wasn't clear I've banked a vote for BobbyD so far. I think it'd be useful for people to announce there votes, if they don't then actually vote that way we have something else to scrutinise. Think we need to find ways of getting info since the vote is private. Otherwise people are going to sit back and avoid suspicion.
Erm..........Don't vote for me....I am town....... The mafia will most probably be very quiet in this game, since the underhandedness of the whole PM voting helps them. Early on, its far easier to let townies talk themselves into trouble and bicker amongst themselves, especially when you get bickersome pairs like Astro and Tobes FYI, seriously, forgot the game had started today....again, thats twice a row thats happened now. Guess I am not as bored at work as I used to be
Haven't seen Lucaas post yet so I've gone for him as I have nothing to go on atm. I've also gone park for now.
Right I've just gotten around to this. Will be very inactive tonight, but will pick up tomorrow. I think publicly voting for people should be encouraged. Say we tally up the votes. And we should reasonably expect 5 votes on one individual. Then the results come in and only 4 people voted for that person. Then out of those five, we know one switched votes. I don't know if the game will last long enough for that to be useful but it may help. Also, while I like the idea of not voting for the direction publicly, there could possibly be some use to it. Say 50 percent of us claim to go to option A, 30 percent option B, 20 option C. Then when it comes down to it, B is chosen. We know for a fact then that some people who publicly voted B are in with a shout of being vanilla townies, whereas the others will contain most of the liars. The issue with that then could be that the numbers are too small to work with.
My votes on you valley no seriously, only joking i decided really to choose a random number and picked DPP
Another issue with the tactic i suggested is that people with roles for town would get lumped in with mafia liars, so that wouldn't be great.
3 games in a row the pair of you have been copying each other and even with hidden votes you're doing the same thing! So far you've not actually been on the same team I don't think despite acting like you are!
You and tennis both going DPP I think? Talking lots together and voting the same way... I smell teamwork! Not really, just drawing attention to this incase he is a bad guy and his buddies haven't noticed he may be amongst a few people with multiple votes...
Another thing - newspaper is extremely important. Pass your information on! I also think that people should post what they think the town roles should do that night and why. It could help democratize the process and help give direction to players with roles. It would also give us talking points.
Good idea RE actions people should take. We shouldn't be looking to get a consensus or decision amongst the town as that'll make it too easy fir Mafia to predict actions and how to best deal with them. But we do need to come up with things to discuss to draw people out as we don't have the votes to look at. I've already said I think the vigilante should be going for one of the inactive people if he is inclined to kill on night one. If the vigilante takes out a town role or a helpful VT on the first night it's such fail, annoys me so much when the vigilante tries to kill early and gets it wrong.
Can't be asked to read thread, I'm a lazy ****er I'm Vanilla Ice Cream....so easy target for the bad boys. My role is simple every game, I'm such a lunatic no one trusts me as a baddie I vote Bod....simply because i owe him one from last game the dodgy bastard I assume we will get to see who voted for whom at the end of the game? if so, and if i go tonight, whoever puts their vote on me...you know the drill
