He's become a cancer to this club, a life sentence for the supporters. Unless he is cut out from day to day management the decay and disease will continue.

Unfortunately, his stubbornness means that the only way out of this malaise is for his health to prevent him from continuing.

lol. Unfortunately that's going to start becoming a sentiment for him.....

He will be here for another year, not much we can really do about it. So might as well just support him for his last and final year at the club.

Can we make this cancerous thread vanish now that the OP has gone walkies?

We have to be the worst club to play for in many ways. Sure we are based in London, have a great history. But our fans are the biggest whinners and complainers around. When things are going bad for the players at Arsenal we are the one fanbase that won't pick you up. We will probably just boo and moan about how **** you are.

You look at what Liverpool go through - their fans always seem optimistic, get behind the side regardless of manager.

He's has had 10 years grace and favour for the underperformances and acute humiliation (8-2, 6-0...list goes on). The fans have been great for him but enough is enough, idiots like the Bear want us to forgive and forget his part in this for another decade.

The worst fan base? Any other top club would have got rid 5 years ago.

What? Why are you equivicating support for manager with support for team? The scousers have had how many mangers since we last won the league? They have a go and try to win, we're happy massaging our balance sheet and P&L.

As for passion, you'll find that it's the working class Arsenal fan base (many of whom have been priced out of the Emirates) that are the most passionate in supporting the team and most vociferous in their impatience with Wenger. The prawn sandwich brigade are usually the ones that back him, fooled by the faux intellectualism of Wenger and too timid to want more.

Wenger keeps on bleating about having passion and desire for the job but if you don't make the right decisions on and off the pitch it counts for very little.

This thread should be removed. Whatever the OP thinks of Wenger, comparing him to cancer and wishing our most successful manager of all time ill health, is incredibly distasteful.

I just assume that the OP, has never had a friend or family member suffer from cancer.

Mods - Do your job please and ban this odious ****.

To be fair he never said that, he said that it would be the only reason he would leave Arsenal willingly.

I don't like the title of this thread, but if you're going to criticise someone, at least criticise them for legitimate reasons rather than making things up.

Interesting responses from some posters on this thread. I'll echo a few here and say that the OP didn't want Wenger to go through ill health, but ill health would be the only reason that would stop him from being Arsenal manager. Something that is possible when you are in your late 60's and in a stressful job.

The OP is just (rightfully) concerned that Wenger will just go on and on and on and on. Forever 4th.

The comparison to that disease was there to evoke the idea of something that is a life sentence.....only ending either through drastic and painful removal rather than painless "evolution".

And for those softer minds who failed to distinguish that analogy from my comment that he is coming across as a man who would only retire only if his health prevented him from continuing obviously have their blind faith in AW cloud the clarity of their thought process. Learn to distill sentences with some intellectual rigour.

On the contrary, the use of foul language should result in a ban from the forum....the dumb cretins.

Criticise Wenger until your heart's content but calling him a cancer that needs cutting out the club is disgusting and there is no need for it.
