It is the general principal on ear that we don't believe anything until it appears on the OS ...... that or until Henry Irving 10 announces it on Twitter! We are a disbelieving lot aren't we!
I wouldn't believe me either as I cannot substantiate it! Source is quite plausible and stacks up - I work in M&A intelligence and a journo on our Benelux desk said there was movement out of Douche's advisers. But then he knows how desperate I am for this to happen and may have been indulging in some Friday afternoon wind up frolics, but that's not his style (dour from Luxembourg). One can only hope like a kid on a Sunday night who hasn't done his homework who prays for snow!
Can't help feeling that the Bitch going on holiday is linked in with something, either.. A) He has something lined up regarding a sale and doesn't want her around to mess things up, could also explain why the training ground development has been put on hold or.. B) He is preparing for L1 in the next two weeks with staff redundancies and players being released and doesn't want her around to take the flack.
There was a late April fools last night that KM being away was her meeting investors in Dubai. I never bought it for a second, as I remember RD handled everything (inc his own due diligence) when he purchased the club. I thought at the time that was quite impressive - now I know he was just refusing to spend money on an external accountant.
Roland certainly loathes spending money. Maybe that's why he doesn't come here, he doesn't want to spend money on fares. That's the way his psyche works, there are stories about his parsimonious nature which reveal an obsessive tight-fistedness. And when FFP was blown out of the water he expected football to follow his example, surely a sign of arrogance. I sent an e-mail 2 weeks ago to the fans e-mail address pointing out that Burnley had posted profits of more than £30m, and they were using only British players. I said I thought Roland might find this information helpful, and could they pass it on to him. Surprisingly they have not replied.
