Thats what im getting at. Snooker not the most exciting of viewing but characters can make it watchable.

The likes of these are gone.

Bet you can remember names like Bobby George, Jocky Wilson and Eric Bristow.

Darts, ****ing darts, a pub game. But these made it entertaining.

    Name some since?

Stopped watching darts, snooker etc for the very reasons your stating. No personalities in the game anymore.

I think Darts is class, Van Gerwen is ridiculously good and the competition is incredible now.

The money went up a lot and they stopped drinking pints whilst playing, it evolved from fat men in pubs to people taking it seriously as a sport, maybe that took away some of the atmosphere at the Oche but the crowds still love it!

One is just some muts legging after a false rabbit, the other is some small gadgy hanging onto a big dumb animal for dear life.

Id rather watch 6 hours of bill ****ing oddie saying 'ooh look the blue tits have laid 3 eggs, ooh look here comes a **** of a cuckoo to hoyke them all out'.

Well I don't gamble anymore but I used to really enjoy it.
You have three up in a lucky 15 & you're waiting for your last one which go's off at 7/1.
    ****ing great man.

Those sports absolutely require you to be betting to enjoy them though, or at least researching your future bets.

I can't imagine going down Belle Vue for a night here with no money in my pocket.

I still enjoy watching the horses, even though I don't bet I'll still pick one out.
Dogs - wouldn't go for a night out there without a gamble.
Been ages since I went to the greyhounds & quite fancy it tbh.
When I used to go regularly, I'd have my gambling & drinking money in separate pockets.
