Can UTD keep up the winning ways by doing the double V the Spuds
or will the Ref cheat and give the Spuds a goal or 3

    I foresee an entertaining game

2-1 win UTD or the Spuds <whistle>

There's really only one question needed to make this a winning thread...

How do you like your Spuds done - fried, oven baked, steamed or mashed? Can we please add a poll just to be sure?

I like mine roasted, and expect the same this Sunday just like every other

Problem is Everton played like **** against you and Lukaku looked more like Anichebie than himself, Spurs have been quite good (spit) I think they'll win quite easily.

Halve baby new potatoes, boil for 15 minutes then drain. Add butter and the zest of a lemon and break up the potatoes with a fork and serve.

I'm going for a spudtastic 1 - 2 to us after extra time.

We are still a good team. There is still a great chance we can win this.

Is the dauphinoise a bit like the lyonnaise ? That's my favourite. <whistle>

The Spuds flatter to deceive. If they can't beat a mediocre RS team lying in mid table when they desperately needed the points, then they are not that good are they?

They need three points so will attack. If our defence and midfield are solid, I am sure we will have opportunities.

No, I don't think so. Lyonnaise are cooked in stock in the oven I think. Dauphinoise are cream and a bit garlic and onion, then roasted. Both thinly sliced of course.

Got a daft feeling we'll win this one against new mighty mega club Spurs. We are mere serfs by comparison now of course but, this being a minnow v giant scenario, I think will suit us and David will win out.

2-1 United. Leicester will have won and Spurs's non existent title challenge will be finished in the now customary whimper.

I had good old fashioned oven chips this evening.

With a nice, simple salad. Leaves, tomato, onion and cucumber drizzled in lemon juice and properly seasoned.

The chips and salad were there to compliment my craving for piri chicken. A lovely, firm breast that had been rolled in flour, cumin, paprika, turmeric, pepper and thyme. Blackened in a frying pan and then roasted in the oven.

I think Spurs will win but I'll be in Spain by then and when I'm there I don't tend to give a **** about anything as long as the sun is shining and the vino blanco is cheap.

    Adios.

Why is it always the other team that is bad every time that we win? It's never United making the other team play like sht according to plans.

    Yep.

Much better than lower placed/relegation threatened teams play their best matches at your ground (ala Moyes).

For me it is a great sign if the likes of Arsenal, City, RS lose at OT because they've "had their worst performance " of the season. Used to be like that at OT the last 2 decades when no opposition expected to play at their best.

Lyonnaise are basically sautéed sliced potato in butter with sliced onion.. You're thinking of boulongere potatoes.

Had dauphinoise potatoes the other night, had the urge for them..

Roast potatoes are and shall remain my favourite form of potato.

I think we will scrape a win 1-0.

Nicoise potatoes are a simple an adaptable alternative and can be used in a variety of salad based dishes to provide a healthy alternative to some of the heavier potato dressings.

I think it will come down to team selection. If he lets the youngsters play we have a chance, if he lets Rooney anywhere near the game we will lose. The kids have their heads up whereas that whole dynamic would change if Rooney plays at any time of the game.

Yep, boulangerie ones they are now yin mention it. Very nice indeed those. Can't say I've ever had Lyonnaise in that case.

No idea why Rooney would be played when he isn't fit so no one need worry about this possible affront.

Nobody has mentioned 'wedges' - are they chips for sophisticates or charlatans, roasts posing as jackets....discuss.

Also, Young would be an interesting introduction to the team adding additional pace.
