You'd rather spend £1m on a ****house flat in Fulham than own a sprawling estate near Edinburgh...

    Yep.

If you were from London or every lived there you'd understand. **** living in some huge property, there's no point, you can only use one room at a time (well technically 2 for people like you and Trev).

Those flats will double in value in the next 10 or so years too, so having one of those means you could buy that big estate in Jockland, knock it down and then rebuild it and still have change left <ok>

To be fair, If I was young and fancy free I'd probably go for one of the London gaffs, even though I'm not that keen on London personally. Clubs, theatres and the nightlife in general are what young people are drawn to so I can totally see the attraction, the bonus is, if you do own one of those London pads, you can always sell up when you get older and buy one of those massive homes in Scotland with the money.

Those Scottyish houses look great but the problem is that they are in Scottylandshire and you would be feckin' miles away from a bus, kebab shop, Chinese massage, cinema etc. If I was minted I'd have the London flat and holiday somewhere grand elsewhere, probably not oop north though.

When my dad got married to my mum he lived with my nan in a flat in St John's Wood, just round the corner from Lords cricket ground, a stones throw from Regents Park in one direction and Little Venice in the other. It's now one of the most exclusive areas in London. They were offered not the flat but the whole 3 story house for a grand. But as it was a bit of a ****hole opposite a bombsite at the time, he passed. Would be worth millions (plural) now. Sob.
