one of the strangest players ever to play for qpr to did play brilliantly for cardiff the season before he joined us even netting 5 goals but he was poor for us and for southampton i wonder why he seems to have completely lost his ambitions
He caught the QPR bug. Arrived full of potential and brimming with confidence, left demoralised and lacking motivation. We have a special ability to take players and do this to them. Seriously, I hope he didn't see the dark side of football at QPR under Redknapp and allow that to tarnish his hopes/approach to the game. He's at Liverpool now though on loan and so hope for his sake Klopp can reinvigorate him for the future.
yes he was once considerd to be one of the best young prospects in the country he made one appearance for the full england side and scored i hope he gets his career together i kind of felt sorry for him the way everything went wrong all the time, but hes young enough to re invent himself
Got to agree with Ted there, Caulker doesn't seem to keep his brain engaged for a while game, a bit like Ned but with far less commitment.
He was crap before he joined and he's crap now. He'll always get another opportunity because he's English and looks athletic. Absolutely moronic on the pitch. The simplest defensive task is totally beyond him.
try looking at his social activities to see how committed he is to his sporting career he seems like many young sportsmen to believe he has arrived & can blow his fitness on jungle juice & late nights involved in nightclubs (allegedly) how many times has it been reported he has been involved in an alcohol fuelled fracas if i believed half the paper reports he is another heading down the slippery path to obscurity
I remember Cardiff fans on here saying he was over-rated when we signed him and they weren't wrong. Will obviously have seen other wasters at the club and followed their stinking attitude. If Klopp can get a tune out of him he'll do well and we'll take the money thanks...
Awful defender, can't read potential dangers at all. I think even a Mr Man book is beyond his reading capabilities !
The first time I saw him was on pre season in Ireland playing Shamrock Rovers and he did not look like a footballer then.
Looks like he's been found out at Liverpool as he's only made three appearances, all as a sub? He seemed to fail at every other club he's been at which tells you all you need to know.
i just hope he gets off the slippery slope of drink or he may find himself another clarke carlise and that would be a disaster
I too was young once. To be fair though I was also skint, which limited by ability to have a dodgy lifestyle somewhat, unlike Mr C.
clarke was such a good player probably better than caulker and he lost everything then he had to wait by the side of a vehicle to jump out in front of lorry which luckily for him didnt kill him WHAT A HORRIBLE LIFE IT IS IM A EX ALCOHOLIC AND TWICE I HAD TO TRY TO GET THE STRENGTH TO TOP MYSELF ITS SUCH A BAD LIFE IT REALLY IS but now i live each day one at a time, but im frightened to go to qpr in case in get caught up in it all again
Has bags of potential. I honestly believe he just needs a coach to breed some confidence into him. Something he didn't get at QPR as the crowd were always on his back. Having said that, some of the criticism he got was justified as at times, it was like he was asleep on the pitch. I hope he can turn his career around, move on to a suitable club and make us a few quid in the process.
Nice post Ted. Going to QPR doesn't have to mean alcohol. Lots of people socialise with others at the pub and have a soft drink. Good luck in solving your issues.
life has to be bigger than football ive done eight years of total sobriaty so all is ok at the moment
