Do you think he's ready for a first team call up?

If not this may change your mind; :emoticon-0137-clapp<wizard>

Quality player - I do look forward to seeing us start to integrate him, because he's certainly one of the better finishers in training from what I've heard (although that second penalty was a bit iffy)!

Something that stood out to me what the performance of our goalkeeper - seemed like 2 shots pretty much directly at him but he's let them both in. Not a huge deal, but just something I noticed...perhaps a bad day at the office for him.

I hope once we're truly safe, which I think we are already, some of these kids get brought in so we can see what they can do on the big stage. There looks like a lot of promise there

These last half dozen games are the perfect time to see a lot of " If's and Maybe's " .
Kingsley would pretty well start the rest IMO , Barrow and Montero should see more starts .
Amat also , Great time to turn to the academy also IMO .

I fully agree. I'd bring Gorre onto the bench ahead of Emnes and Gomis now. As for the other kids, a few more points then bring them in instead of the likes of Gomis, Emnes, Rangel, Ki etc.

Maybe we could rest Ash for a few games and give Amat a chance to stake his claim too.

Some very, very promising players there who should be given a chance. If they can make the step up now, we could then consolidate our spending on 3-4 top class players to strengthen the team, while they can be brought in to improve the strength of the squad.

There were some on here saying that the academy was a big waste of money. On that performance we have some very good youngsters at the club. Hopefully they will be given the chance to play at the next level for us. Sounded like there was a tidy crowd there.Anyone know the attendance figure ?

Not for me. When we're mathematically safe then absolutely. We can still be relegated, guys! <doh>

Jones & Gorre ran the show. Very impressive. <applause>

I'm all for introducing a few players into the first team every season because if we cant do that then there is obviously something not working right in the Academy.

Two of the most expieremental games this season were away games against Crystal Palace and Arsenal .
Worked out very well to with 1 point at Palace and 3 at Arsenal .

What is it about 'we can still be relegated' that you're having trouble with? <doh> We've changed things around to cater for games coming thick and fast very close together - yes it worked out well but changed were necessary. If Guidolin changes things and 'experiments' when we aren't safe and it's not necessary he's a bigger idiot than I thought.

Sorry NS I don't agree and the maths backs me up. Although it's highly unlikely we can be caught, this season has been weird from day 1 and anything could happen.

I know 16oz's doesn't quite make a pound yet kiff but do you see Sunderland making up 10 points on us by the end of the season? Personally I don't see them getting 10 at all.

    Leicester (H) 0pts
    Norwich (A) 1pt
    Arsenal(H) 0pt
    Stoke (A) 3pt
    Chelsea(H) 0pt
    Everton (H) 1pt
    Watford (A) 3pt

and Newcastle 11pts behind (Oh would I love them to go down).

I'd like us to finish on a high and move up the table as far as we can, but I think we may end up with only 2/3 more pts ourselves, but it is enough to to limp to the end rebuild for next year.

Pretty interesting to think that should we get past 42 points, this won't even be our worst season in the Premier League.

Put this into perspective - in that Laudrup/Monk transition season, we were Played 34; Points 33. We thankfully won 3 of our last 4 games.

By comparison, we've been relatively smooth sailing this year... It really hits home, despite our plight at times this year, we haven't *touch wood* let it come down to the last couple of games like we did back then. However, our run in this year is harder than then (Newcastle, Villa, Saints, Sunderland), so I'm glad we didn't let it come down to the last 4 games again.

We have been decent lately too BK, with 10pts from our last 5 games. This puts us 6th in the recent form table, with the best form all the way up to Chelsea in tenth; who we'll beat on Saturday (dreamer). I think we're in a good place <ok>

Re Kenji Gorre, been saying for a while he's one to watch. I'd put him at the same level as Barrow when he first came into the squad. Routledge isn't getting any younger and I don't see Ayew here next season so I'd give him a shot, at least on the bench, starting in cup games along side Fulton.

There won't be any cup games for the first team this season so I would like to see Gorre on the bench from now until the end of the season with the hope he can get some game time with a view to playing a bigger part next season.

like the look of him I think we are safe now as I don't see Newcastle or sunderland making up ten plus points on us. at the end of the day you have to throw them in sometime and now is good as time as any
