Bit of a no-brainer to say you's swap Benteke for Lukaku. I'd swap him for Troy Deeney. Doesn't make them that good though: the equation is weighed down on the Benteke side on that sum.

 

I'd not take lukaku as i think he misses the target too much..

Prior to either joining our clubs, I said numerous times I'd take Lukaku over Benteke.

Lukaku is a great player imo but needs to be in the right setup. He'd struggle at Barca for example because of their style. I think he'll end up at Man Utd this summer. that or go back to chelsea.

 

I think everton will price him out of the market in all but the two manc clubs.

Chelsea will not buy unless he has some cheaper clause in there which i think he doesn't

lukaku is not perfect guys... he's prone to lazyness and even tobes has accused him of that here. When he's on it he's good but he misses a LOT. i think he's a very good header of goals but he misses target a lot.

 

I'm not sure our Cb's are the worst in the world. Hopefully Ivanovic stays in that positiona and Cahill isn't the worst (should be okay for most teams in prem league, rubbish when it comes to Europe) and i actually highly rate Zouma so hopefully 1 new CB.

As for 2 DMs, we just need Matic to get out of his Funk, sack Mikel off and do not play Fab as part of the midfield 2

Terry's legs have been gone quite a time but he's been timing things. You've called cahill perfectly. The issue is terry was his very best with carvalho who let terry go attack stuff and just swept up everything .Chaill and terry are similar. theres no sweeper there.

zouma I'm not gone on. he's big, he's young and so a bit faster but he's not that solid.

One thing is for sure stones would not have fixed it.

Totally agree with this. He can be a beast and unplayable which is where he gets rave reviews from and at times his finishing is sick. However he's still too inconsistent and not always that bothered. In many respects he's pretty similar to Adebayor in my opinion. Good enough for a top 4 club but he won't ever be a world beater. I'd prefer Harry Kane over him

 

Yea stone is terrible. He's basically like a David Luiz. I wouldn't trust him more than Luiz so no point. He might work in a disorganised High Line defence Wenger loves in a 1 on 1 marking type game but i wouldn't trust him in a defensive line and he is no leader either.

Bonucci would be decent but isn't he in his late 20's?

 

kane seems to get the goals with less chances... not sure he's better round the park though.

You could say the same about benteke at villa. come son strong and is unplayable for 10 games a season.

Lukaku moved form a big club where he spat the dummy for not getting a chance and mourinho was happy to see him go to pay for fabregas to a small club where he was assured to every start

Benteke went from small pond to big pond and found it wasn't as easy.

the question will remain on all these guys. stick them in a big clu band will they do a bony or what? (and lukaku is far better than bony)

Hmmmm.... interesting question on all round play between Kane and Lukaku. I would probably say Lukaku edges it by the fact he can get the ball down and dribble it powerfully past the last defender which i think Kane struggles to do because he doesn't have break neck speed.

However, Kane i think is better at holding up the ball and playing it off first time which lukaku can also do.

I think i just prefer my striker to be more clinical with either foot and in the air as well as being my intelligent in his movement and play in general

 

Probably not. Depends on the price. Then again there aren't many decent young defenders who would get into a team straight away and i would much prefer expensive type play and defenders than a defensive wall like leicester have (worked well this season though!).

 

yes. at the top level clinical finishing is what you need. the helter skelter prem coughs up chances all over but looking at games in spain and germany you might get 6/7 max a game and they don't just shoot from anywhere or just pump 50 crosses in. Kane for me would be the best finihser in the prem as we speak

at 22 he has got it down. Lukaku might imprve and his record is good but i've been him miss 3 and 4 for everton then score a harder header finally and the rest then don't matter

Benteke is simlar. look at his record.. the way he dominates games for villa how many hat tracks? one... you'd think hmmm... miss a lot much?

kanes had 3 senios hat tricks now and several braces. he's socred 32 last year and 28 this. (including england)

 

he will cost cos he signed a new deal last year.

juve i think have others they might want to keep longer or take the cash to pay pogba to stay.

What you say is the case for every striker tbf if you put Benteke into a team that crosses he's dynamite...
