-----------Mitro-------Cisse--------- Aarons-Saivet-Shelvey--Townsend Mbabu-----Colo---Lascelles---Janmaat -------------------Darlow----------------------- I don't want to see Tiote or Sissoko ever again. I'm hesitant to put Janmaat back in, but it's obvious that Anita can't cope at fullback if left exposed by a winger unwilling to track back and support him. I'd play Mbabu LB. A kid that will actually want to play, same as Aarons. Aarons is obviously not a defensively astute player, but he has some decent physical abilities in the air, and with pace, and he works hard. I think we'd be much more solid in that left side with them there, rather than lazy arse Sissoko and Anita. I also liked the look of us when both Mitro and Cisse were on the pitch. Cisse actually looks canny when he's not up front on his own, and has others making space for him. We should go with the plan that I had in mind for a while. 4-4-2, and just get those ****ing deliveries in. Townsend looked dangerous cutting in and also assisted the first goal. We shouldn't give up on him.
Darlow Mbemba Lascelles Coloccini/Taylor Sissoko Shelvey Tioté Pérez de Jong Townsend Mitrovic Cisse should maybe start, we only ever seem to score with both Mito and Cisse on the pitch together. Janmaat isn't bothered, Wijnaldum keeps disappearing, Anita maybe at right back, he got skinned at left back but i'd rather play him over Janmaat If we conceded from a another free kick, conceded in our left back position, in the first half, AGAIN, i think i'll explode
Im always interested in people that think taking out **** players for even worse players will help. Shelvey is turd by the way We're ****ed I agree go 442 though
-----------Mitro-------Ayoze--------- Aarons-Saivet-Shelvey--Townsend Colback-----Mbemba---Lascelles---Mbabu -------------------Darlow-----------------------
4-2-3-1 does not work. How many managers is it going to take?! 4-4-2 is the simplest, 4-3-3 would be my preference. We're all but down, we might as well just fcking go for it. We need to win games, draws are no use so we can't really afford to be tentative.

As per above, I think the likes of Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Tiote, Cisse and probably even Janmaat must be overlooked from here. I mean, forget the fact they clearly won't be around in the Championship, it's more that there should be SOME kind of come-uppance for sticking us in this position. My radical thinking here is - just go standard 4-4-2. No specialist defensive midfielders, attacking full backs, inside forwards or "number 10's". Just four defenders who watch Leicester and get it drummed into their thick heads that the first, absolute priority is getting rid of the ball to find either a) your team-mate, or b) touch. My back four: Mbemba - Lascelles - Coloccini - Dummett (or Mbabu) The four across the middle should be two central midfielders who are both able to both pass and tackle fairly effectively, and two wingers. As it stands, we only have two wingers - Townsend and Aarons. Everyone else is just filling in, usually quite badly. Shelvey's probably our best CM (oh dear), followed by Colback who should play with him when available. In Colback's absence, we have to surely give Saivet a run out? I just don't think you can play either Wijnaldum or Sissoko there. Townsend - Shelvey - Saivet - Aarons Then up front you have options. I think you need speed alongside Mitro, but either way the Serb starts: Mitrovic - Cisse/Perez There you have it. Just accept that at this stage of the season the likes of Sissoko and Gini are as useful as Thauvin. For subs, we have good options, but we have to take a leaf out of more successful teams and accept that just picking your eleven most expensive and shoe-horning them into everyone's favourite tactic just isn't working. If/when we go behind in games or if we need a win, you can go 4-3-3 but rather than play with a single, central striker, maintain the two up top and stick someone a bit deeper to link it up, go a bit narrower in midfield: Mbemba - Lascelles - Colo - Dummy Shelvey - Saivet - Wijnaldum De Jong Mito - Perez If we line up against Southampton with 4-2-3-1 (which we should never have done at Carrow Road), then we're done.
Pointless sitting back and letting the opposition come at us, we might as well go for it from the start. The last time we took the lead in a match seems like yonks ago, was it West Brom at home in January? Just ****ing go for it
Coincidentally enough, when we last won. Strange that. I can't fathom why we've spent the season floundering with someone else's tactic when history proves NUFC (and other clubs of our size) have always done better with two up front. The calibre of player needed to either lead the line alone, or provide fluid support behind, are out of our reach. I can't understand why this is so obvious to everyone except the manager of the club. Naturally we've been hamstrung by the board buying for the sake of it.
A bad weekend just got worse this afternoon when England blew the World Twenty20 cricket competition. Talk about grasping defeat from the jaws of victory <ffs> Roland, you and I are probably the only ones on here who hold out some kind of hope....desperate at that.....that we can still somehow salvage our premiership status. Everyone else seems to be resigned to our fate.....are we mad? Its like we are waiting for something positive to happen despite having only taken one point from the last eighteen.....ffs. That game yesterday, that last-minute goal that wasn't disallowed for handball, may well have finally knocked the stuffing out of nearly everyone. A bad refereeing decision cannot mask the shoddy defending but bloody hell, that was cruel yesterday. Bloody cruel.
Brothers in arms, matey. But what other point is there, if not to hope? Hope to win, hope to draw, hope the ref sees the handball, hope we beat Southampton, hope we beat Man City, hope Norwich, Sunderland and Palace implode, hope to survive.....and if we don't? Hope to see the back of Charnley, hope to win the Championship. Mike's done his level best to extinguish hope, but it's just the flame that won't die.
4-4-2 for me all day. We don't have the technically gifted and frankly switched on players to play 4-5-1. We have two strikers up top and whip ball after ball in the box as fast as possible. Get a rb as janmaat is **** and Anita is not a defender. Tiote and sissoko never to play again for me. Gini will be no good in the championship. He goes missing in games for far to long and does not like the tackle. Saivet will be wondering why he came to the club. How he gets ignored over tiote is beyond me.
It would be nice to be able to play all the promising young players we have. Blood them. Get them ready for next season. Hang on... WE HAVE NONE!!! OR THEY ARE ALL ****ING INJURED!!!! The Treatment Room must look like a ****ing episode of ****ing CASUALTY!!! For ****s Sake!!
We have to play two strikers now and attack games, be positive and keep teams on the back foot, the only issue is the counter attacks that our defence quite seemably be unable to handle. 1st half against Nowrich we came under pressure because the ball wouldnt stick when we attacked, Cisse has the prescence of a ghost and the touch of a peado, the game changed because Mitrovic came on and it gave Norwich something to think about, picking up both Cisse and Mitro mean their players werent as free to press and close our players down. Darlow Janmaat Mbemba Colo Sissoko Townsend Saviet Shelvey Wijnaldum Perez Mitrovic Depending on performences, Cisse, De Jong and Doumbia as subs
