Player scores IMO Fabianski 6 - Looked edgy, Rangel 2 - Defensive equivalent of Gomis imo. Seems to cost us every time he plays these days. Fernández 5 - Can do so much better. Amat get your boots on. Ash 8 - Our Lord Naughton 6 - Better on the right, worked hard Leon 6 - Worked hard in front of back four Fer 5 - No end product, faded as the game continued without him. Cork 7 - Covered so much ground, especially when their midfield was strolling through ours. Routlage 7 - Solid threat Siggy 8 - Our Saviour Gomis a big fat Montero 8 - Surely has to play more, a proven game changer and its getting warmer. Paloschi 8 - So happy he scored, not just for him but for us too because it could mean Gomis wont start another game. Amen to that Taylor 6 - Made some crucial blocks towards the end. Cheers Swanee
Big clear out needed now including Rangel and Leon and all those players who are one hit wonders who has one good game now and again, We need players that can perform to the standard consistently, Any player that cant do that is not worth having. Two quality speedy players for the wings, Two strikers that can read the way the game is going and able to worry the defenders by moving into the right positions and hit the target, Two more Midfielders that can emulate Leon of a couple of seasons ago but with more muscle, and finally two tall defenders able to defend corners and set pieces.....And of course a quality Manager who knows what he is doing in the premiership....
6 more points and we will hit my predicted 43 for the season? Not bad considering.......................
One player cant make a team however good a player is.....It's a team game , I wish he was still with us just for his long range passing and shots at goal but then again we don't have much of a team.......much better than the toon though imo...
There is something I have never seen before . Every team in the Prem is in the same position as they were when the day started.
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...swansea-city-boss-guidolin-jefferson-11129003 Let's hope then he drops this diamond crap and starts with two of Monty/Barrow/Routs every game.
Dai his shots on goal usually went high wide and handsome , long range passing is all well and good when you have a player who backs it up with heart ,commitment and a team ethic , all of which went missing with him for us his season
Kind of sums up Mark Hughes..... "But 2-0 isn't the easiest of leads to protect. Maybe we got defensive when they got the goal. They got the second goal from their second shot on target. One of Swansea's players was in an offside position for it, and we've been in to see the officials. But we don't get too many of those decisions."
It's a shame because I actually think he's a top manager. Surprised he hasn't been linked with the Utd job given the job he's done at Stoke. Would love him here if he didn't complain all the time.
Monk was manager and had the team for 15 games....passed the reins 2 points from relegation . Curtis was manager and had the team for 7 games ... passed the reins 1 point from relegation . Guido's is the manager and has had the team for 10 games ...we are 10 points from relegation ,his picked teams , his ideas and ideals from the first minute . He knows we are playing bad but he's learning everything he wants to learn during this perfect time to learn . People can pretend , amongst their groups , that they know what Guido is doing is wrong , but they don't have a clue , just like me . Ponder this thought also : would Jenkin's bring in Guido's 8 million £ striker. without being pretty sure that the guy who brought him in is staying .....oops , wrong thread ...doh . 3 points from 40 total ..woohoo .
I can't stand Hughes but do agree he's a top manager. Anyone who can turn around that bunch of all-in wrestlers and bully-boys deserves credit. That said, he's also trained into them the art of diving when you lose the ball. They are very good at that. Praising Guidolin for getting the subs right (which he did) when the World and his wife could see his starting lineup was a shocker seems hollow to say the least.
