    Never found him funny - some of his tv shows were dire 'Timothy' in Sorry for instance - probably his best work was with Barker in the Two Ronnies

    Much respected among comics, apparently. I found his delivery a bit plodding, but he did a lot of good stuff in the 2Rs.

    He was brilliant as part of the double act with Barker, but as mentioned earlier, his TV series 'Sorry' was pretty dire and would be a candidate for another thread going at the minute....R.I.P. little fella..
