Hard to argue with any of that.
The only thing I would say is that Rooney would have almost certainly scored the sitter that Alli missed.
We must take our chances in the Euros.

I thought Wellbeck was excellent against Germany.
I'd prefer him to Sturridge tbh.

Agree re the sitter: Rooney tends to be clinical when given the chance.

Which is why I'd definitely want him in the squad. I'd certainly start Alli in the first game, behind Kane.

If Rooney is fit then first name on the sheet IMO

    Why?

He will scare the ****e of of most defenders going to the euros to a point whereupon they man mark him
At the highest level then that means they are worried about our game not theirs . Ok the big boys like Spain Germany and France may not as they are good teams but the others will fear Rooney
Only player who can score from anywhere ... Kane keeps surprising us as does Vardy and its all good as both with Rooney is possibly the best for a long time
He can also play midfield IMO

They don't treat him that way in the PL or any other tournaments he has played in, why would they start now.

Completely agree with Col. Rooney definitely goes for me, probably wouldn't start him in all the games however. Personally believe the combination of Rooney and vardy coming off the bench when we're level/behind could cause serious problems.

Purely from a selfish point of view, and no disrespect to Kane and Vardy, I want him to go.
I purchased a storage unit and have ended up with 400 Shrek T shirts. This could finally be my opportunity to flog them

Rooney IMO still remains England's best player and it's completely daft to suggest he doesn't start if fit of course. Has anyone on here seen him play?
Put money etc aside or a fickle approach that he has lost it
He is England and as a club footballer would get into any club side in the world IMO
Just because Man U are a fallen side that doesn't make Rooney a lost cause IMO ... Stick this player in a side with the current English young talent he will deliver.
We play football currently as good as anyone under RH
I was the first on here to slag off old England teams because Gerrard and Lampard IMO unbalanced the entire team if played together
Huff and puff doesn't work IMO

For me if this team lined up fully fit then England could win the Euros and there is time

    ......................Hart....................

    Walker...........Stones..........Young
    ........................Dier..........................

    ........Ali......... ..Berkley.........Wellbeck
    ....................Rooney.........................

    ..............Kane...........Vardy............

    Are you Luigi De Canio?

You mentioned above that Rooney scares defenders. If you're Ashley Williams (or the Russian/Slovak equivalent) you'd be desperate for him to play over someone who might actually run and do something.

Wow. Two recognised defenders and Walker doesn't like to sit back. I bet Stones and Hart are glad you're not England manager!
