I have done it for the seven years rooney has been at utd. can include earlier if you want so it seemed only fair to do lampard for 7 years, didn't do any one else lampard was enough to knock rooney off your arbitrary little stat.

Just one example of Gerrard getting 'a little too passionate.' Go to the 1:00 mark.

And by the way traore, it is a horrific challenge.

Both are sliding in a similar fashion, not a surprise it was a red or that a penalty was gifted. Just look at who the ref was and where the game took place.

How are both sliding in a similar fashion? Carrick touches the ball first, goes with one foot and it's on the ground. Gerrard flies in, misses the ball, is off the ground with two feet. Watch it again it's obviously a straight red and the commentators agree.

And how could you deny that Berbatov dived? Cheat your way to the top but when a dodgy decision happens against you lot, the whole world is against you, just like after the Martin Atkinson debacle last season

Yes. Gary Naysmith and Kevin Nolan. He has also elbowed Danny Welbeck and Michael Brown, and got away without punishment for both. He is no better than Rooney for being a thug on the pitch imo.

Again, so what if Berbatov went down a little easy... Liverpool players have never cheated at all have they.

OH WAIT: Gerrard has dived tons of times, Suarez probably has too and he's also handballed a ball off the line in a world cup knockout stage... if that's not cheating then I don't know what is.

Way to base your argument on assumptions, you should be a politician. as for the handball, I recall Ghana getting a penalty for it.

Well no. Rooney had a slow first season at Utd, just like Lampard did at Chelsea. You are trying to compare a 26 year old who has been playing for nine years and at his current club for three years with an 18 year old who had only played professional football for two seasons. When Lampard was 18 he didn't score a single goal, and it took him three seasons at Chelsea just to break double figures.

So you thought you would leave it out.

Rooney got 11 prem goals that season not far off his seven year average.

Not really. You're as guilty as I apparently am of double standards.
