Actually, in the last six seasons Rooney has 91 PL goals and 56 PL assists for a grand total of 147 total goals scored and assisted. Which is an average of 24.5 per season. Which is higher than anyone over the same period. More than Drogba (23.5), more than Lampard (23.7), more than Fabregas (18.2), more than Ronaldo over his six PL seasons (20.5), more than Berbatov over his five PL seasons (22.2).

Obviously it still proves nothing. But shows that Rooney has more goals and assists on average than any other PL player over the same time span.
