I can see the appeal of the black, presumably representing the All Blacks?
Biased of course, but I would vote for the one on the right.

Call me old school but I like history so l'd vote for the existing flag with relevance to the Commonwealth.

Reminds me very much of SWP's contract.

 

I like the design, but the blue doesn't go with the black. If they has made the whole thing black, with the fern and the red stars, it would be cracking.

I think they did, they had hundreds of designs, for some reason they picked this one to run off against the traditional flag.

 

Too much black and you get into ISIS territory. I would guess that might have been the designer's yardstick

I liked Laser Kiwi that was my favourite! Seriously though glad Canada changed the flag back in the 60's when I'd hope it didn't cost so much.
