It feels like the dark ages again. Something seriously went wrong around the time of the 1980s, when some twats started interfering in the middle east. All I got to say to most of these old codgers and politicians who bugged it royally up is..... "THANKS A ****ING BUNCH! SINCERELY, THE YOUTH!"

I used to play golf about 40 years ago with a mate who said a few times that Britain understood the Middle East, and that one day America would get involved, and that's when the trouble would start, because they didn't understand it. Always stuck in my mind, that.

We had a small thing called "the troubles" 40 years ago I seem to remember, which had far more bombings in the UK than this bunch of mad men have caused so far. I can't recall too many people saying all Irish Catholics should be demonised & sent back to Ireland. Our boarder controls are working well so far. & its important we carry on being vigilant but don't tar all Muslims/foreigners with the same brush.

I think it's more to do with our secret service working round the clock to keep a lid on things.

Most of the ****tards who want to comit atrocities on UK soil are either British or have an EU passport. These people are therefore in the main free to cone and go as they please.

Our security services must be watching untold different cells.

Absolutely. 1500 extra security staff were taken on last year. It's the only way.

Why did we even mess about in affairs that was nothing to do with us? I'm wondering if after 1945, when Japan surrendered, we went "**** it! We've lost enough lives due to megalomaniac nutters, let's not get involved in wars and stuff that's nothing to do with us" how much more happier the world (or Britain) will be?

If we didn't get involved in Israel or all this stuff, bet you £10 that we won't have tossers trying to bomb us.

**probably exclude the Falklands out of that, as that was a direct attack on British sovereign soil

It goes back far further than 1945 China. British Empire involvement in the region exasperated many of the issues, especially in Palestine/Israel. Interestingly though British efforts in Sudan, notably the Gordon Relief Expedition and the Khartoum siege, were the direct result of a Islamic jihad led by the Mahdi (who basically believed he was a messiah selected by the prophet Mohammed).

Amazing to hear that Belgium - a relatively small EU country - has nearly 200 different regional police forces, including 6 in Brussels, and that the security services and armed forces have poor relations with the police

    #SoftTarget

I would suggest to the Belgian Government that they stop obsessing about ever closer political union, and carry out the first duty of any credible administration- the protection of their citizens.
