The HCST Board met tonight and elected GEOFF BIELBY as the new Trust Chairman. RYAN RICHARDSON will be Vice Chairman, following his spell as interim chairman. Congratulations to both.
Has the Hull City Supporters Trust board shrunk in size? I'm sure there were more board members the last time I looked?
At the 2015 AGM there were 10 board directors elected. There was also one co-opted board member added. There are now 9 board directors, including five new directors elected at last week's 2016 AGM. So yes, the Board has reduced from 11 Directors at March 2015 to 9 Directors at March 2016.
Many thanks for the best wishes chaps. I don't post on here much but I do check in often. I doubt that will change but I'd like to say I'm very fortunate to have been appointed to Chair a hugely talented and committed group who form the new HCST board. Now more than ever Hull City fans should look at what HCST are trying to achieve for fans, get involved so we can represent all City fans. Check out our website and get in touch via our contact e-mail. HCST will listen and I'm determined we will grow and become a significant force for Hull City fans.
Michael Brunskill, Director of Communications at the FSF, will be HCST’s guest at The Lair on Saturday 2nd April (before the Bristol City match). Matthew Rudd of Amber Nectar will be compering the event, at which Michael will be talking about the FSF’s work and its campaigns and then fielding questions afterwards. The Football Supporters’ Federation is the democratic organisation representing the rights of fans and arguing the views of football supporters in England and Wales. It leads on high-profile campaigns such as Safe Standing and Twenty’s Plenty as well as a range of other issues, such as fan engagement, supporting club away fans and England fans. The FSF has been a tremendous ally to City fans in particular, supporting us in the No to Hull Tigers campaigns and – before that – in opposing the bubble arrangements prior to our game with Huddersfield a few years ago. HCST shareholders are involved in the FSF working group that aims to strengthen the FA’s rules on heritage. HCST is a member of the FSF and we carry its weekly fan updates on our website. (Individual fans can join the FSF free of charge). We look forward to seeing you there. All are welcome, and there’s no charge to attend.
