I think the lost in translation thing must be right. He can't mean that Shirley. We played better when Guidolin was laid up. Sad but true.
The subs might have been talked about prior to the game for different situation . Guido was the manager at the time , made the starting line ups , trying to sway credit is kinda ....well , grasping
Yes I'm sure he was on the line from his bed. Taking credit away from Curtis is ...well, laughable. Yes, I can see it now..."Now, Curt make sure in the 80th minute you do this...." You are essentially saying that our better performances when Curtis is in charge is coincidence. I think not. We'll creep over the line but I'll be so worried if he's here come August.
I'm sure scenarios could have been discussed , might be difficult for you to grasp . From two points from relegation to 11 points from relegation under Curtis and Guido while being thrown into the deep end by Huw and the board and all that can be discussed by some is their unhappiness with the manager (s) . I don't need to have a season ticket to have a laugh at some that do .
Yep - there have been times when I thought that Francesco had us in a pickle, only for Curt to use the subs to sort it out.....
Roof - it appears Curt made the changes, not Francesco http://www.southwales-eveningpost.c...-ALan-Curtis/story-28850317-detail/story.html
Didn't say Curtis didn't make the changes Taff , only that scenarios for changes might have been discussed the same time Curtis was told who to start . We know who was responsible for the starting line up , we don't really know if Curtis was under any instructions for " What if " subs .Unless you , Aussie and Valley get special knowledge that comes with your tickets ...lol ....although Curtis changed formation , it doesn't say anything was or wasn't discussed about possible subs
Roof, with respect, what part of "Don't tell (Guodolin) we did that," Curtis joked don't you understand?
Roof, Curtis has ALREADY said that Guido picked the team but once the games started, Curtis had full control over tactics, subs etc.
Tactics and subs are 2 different things , see , I can split hairs too. You me and everyone else don't know if subs were discussed or not . The lengths everyone goes to give as little credit to our manager is a bit worrying for me . When Naughton came on yesterday everyone was sh:tting all over Guido before play started . I'm pretty sure Curtis was given the reigns to make whatever changes he wanted , Curtis and Guido seem to have a good connection imo , but nothing's for sure
Roof - when in a hole stop digging..... http://www.eurosport.co.uk/football...o-guidolin-in-hospital_sto5292379/story.shtml
Off course your right Taff , Curtis is totally responsible for everything . Why we got Guido in is beyond me .. He's useless ....can't make a proper line up , Gets sick all the time , has to put others in charge when he's in the hospital ..... If he gets any more points for us , I think we should axe him .Then we can put Curtis back in charge so the " Curtis is Sh:t " group can take over ......then Curtis can get axed after he starts getting us to many points . Then we can get Rodgers in in the summer , after he left us out to dry when we , suppositily , needed him after Monk got unjustifiably axed .
Roof - no need for petulance Guido picked the team but Curt had power to change things. This he did to great effect against Arsenal and Norwich. Curt is not Manager material but he knows the. PL better than Guido
Anybody who knows anything about the Swans would have brought Siggy on sometime , not rocket surgery Taff . Bringing Fulton on at 70 minutes and Rangel on at 90 minutes were also critical ...lol. Sorry . The game against Arsenal was turned on its ear by Routledges beautiful taken goal ... Period Imo . Took the wind out of there sails . That and someone else hitting our woodwork for a change instead of us hitting someone else's ( see law of average ) .Sorry by the way Taff ..cheers P.S I'm scared to look up what petulance means but I'll assume it's not good
Roof - initially you were arguing that all the changes/substitutions had been discussed in advance. Now it has been demonstrated that Curt had power to change things, you have adjusted your arguments to saying "Anybody who knows anything about the Swans would have brought Siggy on sometime , not rocket surgery" Unfortunately, you have omitted to include that Curt adjusted the formation and set-up after Campbell scored for Arsenal - but, hey, that's not rocket science either......
I only said I didn't know if subs were discussed Taff , and remember , it was Guido's decision to give Curtis the power of change .. A good decision at that .
