    Defoe 1st goal scorer.

    Easy money.

Just hope we don't try the Southampton tactics of sitting back for 45 mins.

    Afternoon Mackems,

Well taken goal by Defoe. He gets in the right place at the right time.

Have to say even before kick off I fancied Sunderland for the win, though you'll need a second just to settle your defence down, and keep the St James' Park faithful quiet.

I think Newcastle's left back Coleback is a red card walking, Borini has him in his pocket. Could have quiet easily have seen red when he was tugging Borini back, 5 mins before half time.

Final score Newcastle 0 Sunderland 2

Nope, Borini is running pis-biscuit ragged. If he does him again and is in on goal.....

Anyway, decent first half that. Another nice n early in the 2nd half would help us!

Been by far the better side. Better chances and looked dangerous. Janmaat should have been booked for the tackle from behind so is lucky to be on the field. Very good first half. Keep Townsend quiet you keep Newcastle quiet.

    That would be quite nice.

Reckon Colback will be either taken off or sent off. That`s him banned anyway isn`t it? I know he`s crap but they still can`t afford to lose him.

The only way Newcastle will get anything from this is taking off Mitrovic for Cisse and Sissoko off for De Jong and putting Wijnaldum on the left.

They look so disjointed Sunderland should help themselves to another 3-0 here no bother whatsoever.

I can't figure out what they're trying to do and Sunderland are comfortable as hell as if this is a nothing game for them to turn up and take 3 points.

I hope City are gonna play like Newcastle!

To be fair, just looked on the mags not606 site and the lads over there are being reasonable saying we are the better team.

sitting back far too much all half.

not sure why he brought JOS on for Younes?

Catts at least brings fresh energy which we need.

Why N'doye for Khazri ? Khazri tackles back and works hard, N'doye doesnt. where does the mag's goal come from ? the wing, where PVA is now by himself .

Fair result. Outplayed them in the first half, choked in the second and they deserved to get back into it.

A decent enough result but two points lost.
