I just don't buy it, whoever loses are down. 8 games left after that. Plenty points still to play for. Also everyone are saying 1 of the 2 teams will stay up. Norwich have a big say in this, it wouldn't surprise me if both of our clubs are relegated, and Norwich stay up. They've got some decent fixtures remaining and still have to play Watford and Everton who could both be in a cup final
Before Rafa was appointed I had reached the point of thinking we were definitely down and that defeat in the derby would seal it for us. I wasn't so sure that defeat for Sunderland would seal it for them. Now I think we are probably still down, but we have a glimmer of hope. If we lose the derby it makes it even tougher, but there are still enough games left IF Rafa manages to bring about improvement. If Sunderland lose then there is still loads of time to turn it around. You have shown in past seasons that you can win games when you need to do. Eventually that luck/run (whatever you want to call it) will run out, but nothing says it has to run out this year.
Norwich won, keep an eye on Palace 2 points in 2016 and still have to play Norwich and Newcastle. Lose both of them and wow they are in some serious ****, especially if Newcastle and Norwich both beat Sunderland.
I honestly believe both North East teams are going down. Norwich to stay up sadly imo. They've got both of us at home, Watford and Man Utd. They've also got Palace, Arsenal and Everton last game of season away. Knowing our luck Everton will be in the cup final and rest a few. Surely Palace will get another 4 pts that would see them safe. Tomorrow's game now is a must win for both clubs. Norwich's win today means a draw tomorrow is no good to either of us
