Worst performance at the Vic I have witnessed in my 2 years back watching . We really missed Watson in Midfield ..don't think any player merited a 6 out of 10 today ....Perhaps Stoke were just too strong for us on the day ..A really flat atmosphere . Outside the ground I shook hands with a player a lot of us seem to rate ... (Not last weeks goal scorer ) ...I told him I'm pleased to see him at the club and think he's a very good player ..He told me to" tell the coach" , the players were not happy with that performance .
I was a bit of a grumpy Victor Meldrew today .. The view from my seat was somewhat restricted by a bloody great black bar ...these seats cost us the full price ie £36 each and not down as restricted view . See below image of the view if I sat back in my seat . Granted camera angle makes view look even worse . Managed to move at half time ...Have from bitter experience , discovered there are plenty of restricted view seats that they charge us full price for ...will pursue this issue with the club . Last time I wrote a letter of complaint I got no response , this time I will be like a dog with a bone ...might even try to speak to Mr. Pozzo directly , I'm that cheesed off . £36 is a lot to me ...If I go to cinema or theatre I would not expect these views . Day made worse by pesky fans with ants in their pants ...ie the buggers with weak bladders and those that leave early ...glad some missed our late fightback .
Poor I'm afraid. They seemed to run the midfield and no real pressing for at least the first half. Shame he didn't start with Watson and Amrabat - may have been a different story. I just want those 40 points but got two week break then back to the Emirates, then Everton. Could be a month or so before we get there...

Not a great deal of consolation perhaps, but Villa cannot now finish above us unless we lose all our remaining games by significant margins and Villa win all theirs. Only two of Newcastle, Sunderland and Norwich to go!
Awful. Too many changes and the wrong team to play against a physical Stoke side. Our form has been dreadful! Not a player worth mentioning today except Amrabat and Guerdiora who did their best to change the game when they came on and at least got the pace moving a bit. So static, lacking in ideas and passion and weak! Not a happy Hornette today, in truth, we haven't been great since Christmas and without that early run of games, we'd be very worried now. Very sad to see even Deeney off his game today. Ben Watson is one of those players who you think you can do without until you have to, and then you realise how vital he is! Gotta say, the 'player was too tired' excuse really gets up my nose! And why not start Guerdiora?! What does the boy have to do! And where on earth is Holebas? And why change a winning team that has been crowing all week! Gutted. /rant.
I think one off the frustrating things is that you could see throughout that if a little pressure was applied then Stoke could capitulate. You have to question whether bringing in Jurado & Suarez against the physical Stoke was the right thing to do. Suarez was a yard & a half off the pace in the first half but as when he played 90 mins a few weeks ago, he did improve, not a lot, but he did. My friend felt he should be subbed but my opinion was that Flores being the stubborn man he is planned to give him a full game regardless. I think Flores is trying out a few things and a few tweaks now which he thinks will benefit us later in the season and next year. MOTD didn't even show the late 'foul' on Amrabat when he was through on goal; anyone seen a replay to say whether it was or not?
Bit of a wake up me thinks. 9 points from a possible 39 since the Liverpool game. I wonder if those predicting a top 10 finish are reappraising? The highs this season have been incredible, but if this season has proved anything, it is that teams have to be at the very top of their game all the time. It's not like the Championship, any drop off is punished at this level. There is a lot (and I mean a lot) of hard work needed over the summer, but I'm confident the Pozzo's are up to the task. COYH
The important thing is that although we have stopped scoring, our goals against remains very good. Compare our goal difference to the 4 sides at the bottom - it's worth an extra point to us. Two out of these three sides have to win at least 4 of their remaining games and hope Boremuff, Everton, WBA and we don't win anymore games!
If this is accurate, and we have no reason to doubt it, it explains a lot and makes me seethe! http://www.wdsport.co.uk/2016/03/quique-on-his-watford-players-taking-their-foot-off-the-gas/
The only possible positive that could be taken from Saturday's ineptitude is that it won't happen again. Trouble is that next up are Arsenal who will be both looking for revenge and catching Leicester. If we don't bring our A game we will be embarrassed by the score never mind the performance.
Sinking like the titanic recently, not good news. There will be 3 worse teams at the end of the season, won´t there????????????????????????????
If we extrapolate the league as it stands, staying up might require as few as 34-35pts. Palace have enough to be OK then, I reckon, needing perhaps only 1 or 2 pts from their remaining games.
