Given how well Moreno performed in the last 2 games and Flanno was roasted against Palace, and not a word was said - I would say I'm proven right. ;)

I think it's more his full blooded approach to the game that people like more than where he's from.

Making one strong challenge a game and then doing sod all for the rest of the game isn't good defending.

....you're surely not claiming Jurgen does things at random??

So Flanno upping Moreno's game is a bad thing? If Flanno sits on the bench for 3 years I couldn't care less....if it means we have 2 full backs playing well. We all know however that he will play a fair amount in the next 3 years (if fit). Get used to it....Jurgen loves him <ok>

I think we're all in agreement that Flanno will add to HG quota and won't be playing much footy.

I'm on board with him being a back up to the back ups. <ok>

  8. Flanno just returned from a very long injury and he's outperformed Moreno since returning. But you're right, Moreno is better (despite having a **** 18mnths) because Flanno wasn't great in one game <laugh>

Well, I do look forward to Flanno taking Moreno's spot when Moreno is back fully fit. <ok>

  10. Just like you looked forward to Flanno not getting a new contract and his departure in the summer ;)

PS...you do know it's a squad gave right? Flanno and Moreno are opposites so complement each other well.

Flanno has enough money to buy a better jumper.

Look... he's obviously 'limited'. Carra was limited too. But both knew it and kept their passes simple and concentrated on their game.

Moreno constantly loses the ball. He is constantly out of position. He 'can' cross but never does it at the right time. Occasionally has a decent shot. He is technically miles ahead of Flanno but unfortunately lacks a brain. Without pace he'd be awful - with pace he's currently a liability.

The bottom line for a defender is trust. I trust Flanno not to make errors through bad decisions and being too ambitious with the ball. Sure he gets beaten - all fullbacks do. It's probably the most exposed position on the pitch.

If we get someone of Clyne or better level for LB - great. Flanno is a back up. But right now he should be starting if he's properly fit.

    Actually he's not

He's been trained. Any nationality can be club trained.

    Schooled again Jimmy.
