They never looked like scoring, but then they did. We stopped crosses all night apart from that one. It's our inability to either create or take chances up front that's killing us.
Sherwood would actually be perfect, he knows how to rev teams up to finish a season, look at how he got Villa going last season. Also good working relationship with Hudd Jake and Dawson.
He should, but he won't. He's the Allams willing little puppet so in all likelihood he'll be here til they leave sadly. It's time for him to go though, give a new man chance to get to know the players and figure out how he wants to set them up. Not only that someone with better ideas might invigorate them to win the next 9 on the trot and give us a fighting chance of finishing second.
Surely even the Allams look at results and realise a change is needed. If they aren't going to get rid of Bruce splash out and bring a striker in loan.
What have they achieved exactly? Anyway IF we get another manager then his job is simple - 1) He wins the championship at the first attempt 2) In his second season in charge he wins the FA Cup and keeps us in the Premier League, The following season he keeps us in the Premier League and after that he gets us to the semi-final (at least) of the COC. Then this mythical person will have achieved more than SB. If he fails to do any of those things I will be the first to be calling for him to **** off
Sherwood achieved keeping Villa up, getting them scoring again when they weren't able to score in a brothel, and they made an FA Cup Final. He actually has a good record at the end of seasons, did the same at Spurs.
Holloway at half time when asked about how important the benches would be second half said… this is when you look to your chairman'.. i'm sure our chairman has been asked and the resposne has been **** off you've wasted enough of my money. ..
We've beaten both burnley & boro at home & lost to both of them away by a single goal! When on both occasions we didn't deserve to lose! We're not a bad side! We do need a bit of luck & the fans on board! If we don't go up this year I'm sure you'll all get your wish!
Sherwood - 6th place Monk - 8th place 14/15 Monk led Swansea to a top half finish. Sherwood kept Villa up, and took them to a cup final. Bruce took us down with arguably a better squad than either of the former. He definitely spent more than either side that summer.
FFS. Tim Sherwood? Alan Curbishley??? Michael Laudrup! Or, you could stick with someone who has managed teams to promotion from Div2 on 3 separate occasions...
