It's not just strikers George, the fact is we wouldn't have put that ball in. At best, there'd have been one man carrying it forwards, and one isolated forward in the box to challenge against a full back line and both holding midfielders. More likely we'd just try and take it to the corner. We could have had Ronaldo and Messi up front for that last 10/15 minutes and we wouldn't have come any closer to scoring.

They had four people in the box and the rest pressed up around the edge of the box, making a presence, taking defenders attention, ultimately causing gaps. Do you really think we'd ever have found ourselves in a similar position? Even when we're a goal down we have two midfielders sitting deep ready to mop up. Forget 0-0 in injury time.

Here we go insult someone for a differing opinion! Where do you really think we'd be without SB? And what kind of players do think WE'D attract with another manager? AND give me your replacement for him!

One man in the box scored it for them. The rest played no part. If we put that ball in there's only Hernandez who can head it with any sort of competence and he wouldn't have lost his man to win the header.

I don't think it's about attracting more players, it's setting the current players up with an attacking intent

Crosses we put in were higher and slower and headed out by their defence more often than not.

If Nugent was in that box in his own he'd have hd two centre halves to contend with and a defensive midfielder occupying the soace he dropped off into. That goal would never have happened. As it was the rest of the defence was occupied markig someone which gave Nugent the space to drop off and get a controlled head on it.

    Gary Monk, Tim Sherwood.

Both have achieved more in the game as managers in 1/10th the time.

And it's not an opinion. Being delusional doesn't constitute having an opinion. At least not a valid one.

Yeah but there lies the problem! Most of the current players if not all! Wouldn't be playing for us would they? They play for SB not city!

Why is Bruce in work? He's done a far ****ing worse job than either of them did.

Mourinho's out of work, he must be a worse manager than Bruce.

Our hopes rest on Meyler and signing Rickie Lambert. I'd get another forward in too, no idea who but we need two in.

Just heard Bruce say that Hernandez didn't play because sports sciences said so…. just wait until he gets back form international duty… I presume he's jetting off somewhere.

SB's feeling the pressure….. and reverting to every excuse available.

I've only seen it a couple of times but from what I remember both CBs were occupied only by Nugent. Davies tried to pass him onto Dawson. Daws never really got close enough and Nugent dropped off as the ball came in. We didn't do a lot wrong apart from Clucas letting the cross in too easily. It was a good bit of play from Nugent that won the game. Nothing tactical about it. Good strikers win games. Especially against teams that never score.
