I parked on that very car park when we played up at 'Boro on Boxing Day a few years ago. Really quite close to the ground and you walk past a weird pub which is seemingly in the middle of nowhere. That picture looks bizarre, is it a computer generated image?
The floodlights and snow combine to make photos look a bit weird (this is Wolves v Fulham one that looks equally odd)... please log in to view this image
SkeBet are currently running an online poll on tonight's result, currently: Boro 34% City 32% Draw 34%
A point tonight would be great, avoid defeat then come back in a few weeks and start again fully charged for the final push
I think because the onus is on them to attack, we're better set up to counter. A shame Meyler isn't fit - he was outstanding in the home game v Boro breaking up play. We need a mobile midfielder and someone to sit on Ramirez. I'd go 5-3-2 or 3-5-2 (Diamond in midfield Huddlestone at the base and Diame at the the top) McGregor Dave Curtis Harry Daws Robertson Huddlestone Livermore Clucas Diame Abel
Id like to see a team of: McGregor Dave Curtis Daws Robertson Snodgrass Livermore Diame Clucas Abel Aluko/Diomande
Let's cut the cr@p out. I fear we will go down 2-1 to Middlebrough mainly because we are firing blanks. Middlesbrough aren't much better having blown 6 points on 2 of the lowliest clubs in this division and are looking to 'turn the corner' the same as we are. A win for us would, I believe, demoralize Middlesbrough and condemn them to the play-offs whilst we could well march on to the title. A loss for us would condemn us to the same fate imo. This is the proverbial 'must win' game and we could well rise to the occasion. Let us hope so.
I'm hoping that we'll see a different game tonight, the run of **** we've seen recently has been as a result of teams coming to us, sitting back and playing for a point. Tonight we are 'the underdog' so to speak being the away team and in a lower position, so hopefully the onus will be on Boro to push, which should mean it won't be us having possession and not creating anything meaningful for 90 mins once more. Good in theory, lets hope reality is the same.
Its going need players with bottle not just a few but a full team, ive seen some lately who have lost out on a 50/50 tackle that's not good enough, we will have to defend well and I expect their crowd to be right up for it like we would when its a big game like this, Lets hope City go out with no fear and catch them on the break. Many of us have been ------ off about this city membership price thing but tonight its football and I hope the team go out on that pitch ready to fight and who ever is going back the lads I'm sure you will.
It has to be 3-5-2 surely McGregor Maguire Dawson Davies Odubajo Snodgrass Livermore Huddlestone Robertson Aluko Hernandez I think Aluko deserves a chance. I know it will be Diame but surely he hasnt done enough recently
