Liverpool go into this one having won 3 in the league in a row with the utd results behind them as well. The league has been that bad LFc are now joint top of the form table in last 6 games. We've also won 4 out of 6 on the road

Southampton are not that much worse off but have had a wobble in recent weeks. they corrected that with a win v stoke.

    Betting:
    Liverpool (2/1)
    Draw (44/19)
    Southampton (13/8)

southampton slight favorites. 2/1 seems value for reds fans.

    Injuries:
    http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php

    Liverpool:

Leiva Thigh Muscle Strain 2nd Apr 16
Stewart Ankle/Foot Injury no return date
Ings ACL Knee Injury Jun 16
Gomez ACL Knee Injury Jun 16

    Milner suspended.

    Southampton:
    C Austin Hamstring Injury 3rd Apr 16
    J Rodriguez Ankle/Foot Injury 19th Mar 16
    F Gardos Knee Injury 16th Apr 16

Not many injuries here. Southampton have got most lads back as do we.

Another tough game, but hopefully we'll have grown in confidence over the last few results. We're still not sweeping all before us, but we do seem to be developing a bit more consistency, and slowly getting into the habit of winning.

With the scum and city playing each other we have the chance to gain on one or both of them. Sadly we have a sh!t tough match, hope we can get the win, not too confident though.

fixtures this weekend are veg interesting.
City v United - a draw would be perfect.
Everton v Arsenal - bs could easily win that one.
Chelsa v hammers - one that could go either way, a draw would be nice.

If if reaults go our way and we get the job done ourselves we could well be 4/5 points behind city/Arsenal with a game in hand.

Grrat at chance to start putting some pressure on those above.

On on the other hand, lose and city Arsenal win and top 4 is gone.

Yes a hard game but the positives are we've a cb partnership growing.

Sturridge Clyne and firmino can't play that bad again surely?

Seriously though ghis is a hard game.

    1. 2 day turn around compared to thier week long prep time.

    2. They will want vengeance big time.

    3. They see europe as being on too so it's not a meaningless game for them.

All in all its a real test.

I felt last night one guy failed the test but others rose to the occasion

  9. Draw would be good but I'd prefer Man City to drop points out the two. We can catch Man Utd regardless.

I would like to see the same team with Clyne at LB, Flanno at RB and Origi upfront instead of Sturridge

This is a better place than wum central to post this:

A review of klopp's league form thus far:

    upload_2016-3-18_9-29-43.png

The last 4 games (including sunderland disaster) have been the first time we have actually get past the required points target for 4th. You can see we've been kind of busy lately and had a really bad time in the prior block. (leicester, norwich, arsenal utd)

what does this mean? a few reds getting quite cocky it seems.

As of today LFC have 44 points. that puts us on for about 60 points. At the same stage last year we had 51 points... the year prior we had 59 points..

Last year over the last 10 games we got 11 points as rogers career and season petered out. It was actually scandalous he stayed but we are luck i suppose he did as we'd not have got klopp last summer. This year to get up to say 68 points which would be the bare minimum required to get 4th it could take us 22/30 points = 7 wins and a draw for example

    Our remaining games are:

    Southampton
    Tottenham
    europa QF L1
    Stoke City
    europa QF L2
    Bournemouth
    Everton
    Newcastle
    Swansea
    Watford
    Cheslea
    West Brom

We have 2 very tough games coming then theres 7 teams who actually have very little to play for by the time the games come about.... there is only newcastle as a team who should be desperate for points.

If LFC fans think 4th is on then the team need to win the next 2 games... simple as..... come back to me when we win this as I still think we are far more likely to be 6th than 4th.

I think we can beat 60 points 60-44 = 16 points so thats only winning 5 and drawing 1. We will i think beat stoke swansea, bournemouth watford and everton and draw this game this weekend

Chelsea is at anfield so with them looking to summer i think we should be favorites there.

West brom i think will be on hols.

Newcastle at anfield is a real interesting tie. We normally beat them honestly at anfield but theres rafa... Thats going to be hard.

watford should be safe so will thye turn up?

Spurs is at anfield too so that will be a close game.

I can't see our season just petering out like last year but the players have to actually deliver.

    ...

the europa SF are after newcastle and then after swansea BTW.. if we get there those two games will be affected

i sort of agree. I think as an away game we might be better off going 433

    Mingolet
    Clyne Lovern sahko Flanagan
    henderson can milner
    Lallana firmino coutinho

I think taking control of midfield might be a vital thing this weekend.

theres a case for allen to come in for flanagan and milner continue at LB.

for me this makes the best of firmino and packs midfield.

There is also a good case for Origi for sure but i feel we need to see if can and henderson can continue after out running utd and then turn around and play 3 southampton players v two after only 2 days turn around.

  16. If we're going to put a run together that see's us get top four then we'll bypass Man Utd regardless. If we don't get top four (likely) then I don't really care where we finish in the league this year, I'm more interested in the EL

    simple fact.

we are 7 points back with one in hand. I would be happy for city to smash utd and us just taking utds europa spot. the very worst thing that could happen is utd end up 4th and us 7th.

You need to realise we need to get 6th to get europa qualification secured. This is absolutely crucical to continuing to develop our uefa coefficient and getting us devleoped as a club.

As of now i'm hoping (being serious) that the Fa cup spot is won by someone in the europa spots so a post gets passed down too. Even if really i'd like everton to win it.

If we get a secure 6th spot then i hope everton win this cup

If we are straggling in 7th but in europa final ok but we need west ham :bandit: to win the cup.
