Dortmund are very, very good, but we've basically handed them this tie. A weakened side in both legs, playing without a holding player or a striker in the first one. Our styles are also very similar, which also suits them. If they were to face a good counter-attacking side, then I think it could get interesting. We've not created much, but some of their defending his looked a bit suspect, at times. Some very rash challenges by Hummels in the first leg and a couple tonight, too. Pulling back players and diving in when neither was needed. Went unpunished, of course, but that can't always be the case. Definitely my favourites to win it, but I think we've made them look a bit better than they are. A good Champions League side and they'd compete for the title over here.
From the BBC About 15 minutes ago I told you it was game on at Old Trafford. Now it appears to be game over. Philippe Coutinho clipped Liverpool level just before the half-time whistle - meaning Manchester United now need to score at least three second-half goals to progress... This is from the page that's supposed to be reporting OUR match.
The thread for that game has goal reports from ours, though. It's for people watching one and keeping an eye on the other, I'd have thought. That's what I'm doing.
Alderweireld seems to be telling Son what he needs to do to get at their defence. He'd know, if anyone would.
Hate to say it, and perhaps I'm missing something, but that is all I see son do. - Tries to take people on, but just ends up running into someone or getting the ball caught under his feet.
It's his first season and it's been disrupted by injuries and being played sporadically. He looked good until he got crocked and has never got back into the swing of it.
Ok but can you tell me what his outstanding quality is that made us buy him? I'm yet to figure it out
Superb pressing by Dortmund. The only good I take from tonight is that Pochettino still has a lot of room to improve that aspect even more.
His ability to sell shirts! He's quick, technically good, scores goals and works hard. He also seems to be a good influence on the dressing room and is well-liked. Young, good for our sponsors...
